Best sci-fi series ever.(comic book guy)

I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, I wasn't there and if I was there I was asleep.

A revival of a Farscape series is probably unlikely, although absolutely nothing would please me more.

If this does do well, though, it is possible (I suppose) that Sci-Fi may be persuaded to order more miniseries or Farscape TV movies, as TNT did in the late nineties with Babylon 5.

Don't blame me....I voted for Kodos.

2 thumbs up from me. Really enjoyed every minute of it. I wish the series was back but I dont know how far they would be able to go with it now that everything has be concluded.

From TVGuide.com:

Question: As one of the many Farscape fans eagerly awaiting the new webisodes, I'm wondering how the writers' strike will affect the project. I can only assume that it falls under exactly the type of material that writers are asking to be compensated for. If, as the networks claim, they don't make a profit from online content, why would the Sci Fi Channel even commission webisodes of a series as ambitious as Farscape? Not that I'm complaining! Just confused and worried that after three long years, any new Farscape will again come down to bad timing.— K. Jackson

Matt Roush: Not to worry. I've been told that Sci Fi is "very early in the development process" for the Farscape webisodes, and so the strike is having no impact on the project yet. Which means you'll have to remain patient (I have no timetable for when these will be made or shown), and I would think that however the strike negotiations turn out, anyone involved in producing these webisodes will be compensated for them.

I haven't seen any Farscape. I heard the show was ended abruptly. Did the mini series bring it to a close? Maybe these webisodes will continue the story?

I know there are some Farscape fans here (looking at you EliSnow!) so I was just wondering their take on this.

I love Farscape. It's probably my favorite sci fi show of all time (although Galatica is very close). And it was ended abruptly. The plan was to have a fifth season, and Sci Fi didn't pick it up because of the cost.

They did try to "wrap up" the series with a miniseries that was very good. But the potential was always there for more stories.

I've heard about these webepisodes being made, but as it says above, it's still really early in the process, so I have no idea what these things will be. I've heard that they will be animated (which really doesn't excite me), and that it will be about peripheral characters. Plus, I think this will go the way of the Buffy cartoon series.

So I'm not too excited (and still pissed at Sci Fi for cancelling the show).

For Sci-Fi Channel it was purely an economic issue. They can probably make 6-10 of their shitbox "Sci-Fi Original" movies for the same cost as one season of Farscape.

I understand their reasoning. It doesn't mean that I have to accept it.

I don't like it either. My comment was more about the idiocy of their programming choices than the "real reasons" they canceled the show.

The other reason that gets me mad is that they really chose Stargate over Farscape. And I know people here like Stargate, but I never got the show and really don't like it. So keeping that on the air, and not Farscape. really pissed me off.

Following in the footsteps of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, new Farscape stories will be coming to comic books. (http://www.newsarama.com/comics/090822-Farscape.html). The series will be written by Farscape creator Rockne O'Bannon and will be published by BOOM! Studios, which right now is being helmed by Mark Waid.

This comic book series will pick up right after the end of The Peacekeeper Wars.

I just read that it's the 10th Anniversary of Farscape. I can't believe it's been ten years since the show started. Time frelling flies.

And I still miss the crew of Moya.
