Seasonale - 4 period-a-year Birth Control (http://www.seasonale.com)

I heard about this on the news last night - it goes on sale today.

Apparently, you take 84 hormone pills, followed by six placebos. - so you only have 1 period every three months.

God only knows what happens during those six days.

I'm thinking "Kill Bill" here.

Me too. It'll piss me off and make me want to leave.

Is weight gain a side effect?

Or you could just take birth control pills continually without taking the placebo pills.

I stay away from birth control that contains hormones.

I'll bet all birth control pills cause some weight gain. Even this one. My wife gained a little from taking them. That's OK though. That weight gain won't cost me 100 grand or any loss of sleep.

I thought all birth control had hormones.

The diaphram, cervical cap, the IUD (the copper one), and condoms don't have hormones.

I thought Alice was referring to birth control pills, not all forms of contraceptives...

I've been doing that with my pills for years; it's nothing new except that you can buy all your pills at once now and that it's actually been approved for use in that fashion. Doctors have been saying it's safe to do for many years now.

I've heard of this, what kind of birth control were you on before that? I ask because I have heard the change may cause adverse side effects.

Can they offset that somehow with the fiscal quarter?
