billy bob thornton, a midgit, and john ritter... could it be comic gold? from the plot summary on imdb, probably not. but the commercial is killing me- where billy bob is telling the kid why his beard is fake. (i won't try to butcher it).

I saw a full length preview for this in the theater and the movie is all about Billy Bob and the kid. The commercials I have been seeing on TV do not allude to this at all. It's just showing the funniest lines. That is not a good sign. It'll probably stink.

it's always a bad thing when the theatrical and tv trailers paint the movie completely differently. Seeing the trailer in the theather made the movie seem like a cute kid movie with a lot of adult humor to keep parents happy if their kids wanted to see it. Now upon seeing the tv trailer, the movie looks to be a decent lite young guy's comedy with a kid in it, almost like Big Daddy or something. I'm willing to bet that the movie will be neither and instead will be a heaping pile of crap.
