What the hell is going on? Theres been at least 4 or 5 helicopter crashes in the past 2 or 3 weeks. This is just terrible.

I ust read it. This is really a fucking shame. I will never understand why these fuckers fly so close to eachother. On foot and in vehicle patrols they always keep a caertain distance apart. On foot its 5 meters in vehicles its 50. This is to limit casulitues in the event of a genade or some other type of attack, or a landmine being set off. In the meantime I always here about choppers going down as a resyult of hitting eachother. WTF. When I first got to FT Campbell there was a ceromony in which they planted these 6 trees for the 6 killed in a training accident that happened before i got there. It was at the end of a field excercise the infantry had been on. They were going to air assault down to the ground and meet up with their families that were invited to watch. So a ton of wives with their kids watched as these 2 choppers collided and crashed to the ground. Someone I met when i got to Hawaii was in one of them but i didnt know it for about 2 years after meeting him. He mentioned it and showed me video from inside one of them that his friend shot. We're watching and he like "Thats 1SG, he died. That guy turned 19 in the field a week before, he died. That was my buddy, broke both his legs and still cant walk etc."
