What does anyone/ everyone think of the band Mushroomhead. i've been wondering other peoples thoughts on them. i remember when Slipknot was coming up, i used to hear people complaining a lot about there being another masked band that had been together a long time, i figure mushroomhead was that band, unless theres more masked bands out there. i've liked some of their stuff for a few years now, but i don't hear them getting any mention anywhere, besides the 2 times i saw their video on MTVX (i miss that fucking channel). i don't even think SOU has played them really at all.
Just wondering other peoples thought on them.

If you gotta hide behind a gimmick, how good can you be?

It looks like the mask thing had to do more with the fact of the band originally being a side- project, and the members didn't want the band to take away from their real bands.

Blind Faith, E-Town Concrete, Faith No More, some side projects can be pretty good. Don't at least half the bands start out as someones side project anyway?

Oh come on, i like the new album, although the first one was by far the best. But really Anthony has been courting stardom for a long time now, he's been trying for years to get picked up by MTV, this is just his way of easing his stuff up a little.

Alright, compared to what they once were, yeah Anthony is turning them into pussies, But Jamey Jasta appears on the new album, so they can't be selling out that much. Plus didn't they just come off a tour with Slayer or something.

Maybe, but how many labels have they had to go through. Now they put this stuff out and they're getting more noteriety in places. Its not as though they've changed completely; they've just grown a bit over the years. Sound changes with age.

Poison The Well has done acoustic ballad, i think Eighteen Visions did one, and VOD may have done one (i'm not sure right now), and Walls Of Jericho has done one, From Autumn To Ashes has done one. and only maybe half of So Many Nights is acoustic.
