And from what I hear it's the shit. I'm on asshole dial-up here at the office, so I haven't had chance to see it yet, but I spoke to someone and he said it was "awesome, the way the other movies should have been". Here ya go:

Look how Hermione has grown (http://www.chud.com/news/nov03/nov12potter.php3)

If you're into wizards and stuff: Lord of the Rings of for the Adults, Harry Potter is for 5-12 year old kids.

Actually my cousin is 5 years old and he could care less about Harry Potter, but he does dig Hobbits Gandolf and Gollum.

And I looked it up, Emma Watson who plays Hermione is still only 13. She hasn't grown yet. Now Liv Tyler is a woman!

Here's where I nerd out. Azkaban was by far the best book of the series. Nearly impossible to screw this up as a movie. Gary Oldham is the man and this one will be more adult.

I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, I wasn't there and if I was there I was asleep.

this one will be more adult.

Except that it's still for kids.

Like having a more adult Teletubbies. And Gary Oldman is a kickass actor but has still been in some stinkers (Lost in Space, Hannibal, The Scarlet Letter)

I get it now, You guys who are into Harry Potter and don't have any kids to take to this thing are kid touchers!

Look how Hermione has grown

See?

And here's a picture of the three main kids from this new film. Damn they are gonna be weird looking adults:

same the trailer looks nuts, and the dementors looked exactly the way i pictured them, although i personally think goblet of fire is the best book, this thing looks downright crazed, cant wait to see remus and sirius in action.

It sounds like Harry is stuck in a Turkish Prison from the title.

Does he give his manhood to some swetty guy named Hassan in a uncomfortably long shower scene?

That ain't a WAND young man! RUN!

I meant the 10 year old kids who read harry potter books, they should not listen to R&F.

Adults read Lord of the Rings and have done so for 50 years.

What?

Here's what I meant:

If you're reading Harry Potter or seeing the movies, you should be under 12 years old. So I'm calling you guys "young kids" 19 is way too old for Harry Potter, and yes I gave that first movie a chance as did my 5 year old cousin who thought it was stupid.

If you want to be into fantasy stuff, read Lord of the Rings. The book has been around for 50 years and enjoyed by millions of ADULTS as well as kids. The Harry Potter books aren't even well written books, but for kids they're fine. I am comparing it to Lord of the Rings because of the Wizards and Trolls and stuff. You don't have to like LOTR. Read an Elmore Leonard book instead!

I quickly typed my last post about this so I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm not a good writer. But I fuck very well so that makes up for it.

I'm sorry...quibbling about which is geekier LORD OF THE RINGS or HARRY POTTER is really, really geeky; it might as well be a STAR TREK vs. STAR WARS discussion.

Let your geek flag fly!

There are no layers of geekness, for crying out loud! Especially when dissing "the kids!" Hell, without "Alice In Wonderland" where would "The Matrix" have been?!

The Potter movies and books hold their own, regardless of who they are supposedly written or made for. Besides, I can't think of too many "children's books" that have bloody scenes of sacrifice, murder and dismemberment taking place in graveyards, such as in the 4th Potter book. Good stuff.

It's all good - whether if you are 12, 24 or 36.

(Last I checked, btw, you still can still legally read both the Harry Potter books and Tolkien and even have time for some Douglas Adams or Ray Bradbury).

I'm not quibbling about which is geekier. Lord of the Rings is geeky, but it's for ADULT geeks. Child Geeks read Harry Potter.

People can geek out on anything. There are Godfather Geeks, Matrix Geeks, 24 Geeks, Quentin Tarantino Geeks, Porn Geeks and even Bible Geeks (scary!).

You can legally do lots of stuff, I'm not stopping anyone. I'm just calling adults childish for being into Potter.

And, yeah, I'm a huge Geek. Look at my sig for Saron's Sake!

No, but they beat Ron so bad he loses a testicle.

I don't know - I think if you are in your 20s or above, it's just as childish to be into LORD OF THE RINGS as it is HARRY POTTER.

(Did you say that your 5 year old cousin is more into LOTR than Potter?!)

No, but they beat Ron so bad he loses a testicle.

I heard they found it this afternoon at Neverland Ranch.

I've never had shame, besides I thought I was being uber-topical. Would it have been better to go for a Tom Green one-ball joke?

Pah!

From here on out I will leave the teenage male testicle jokes to you...and Michael Jackson.

I've read the first 4. I read um because I had nothing to do during the summer and it was pretty good. Would I ever go see the movie? no. And the 'hobbit' kicks the shit out of all fantasy books.
