I wouldn't vote for him.

I like him as a political commentator, and think he's intelligent, but i don't think you should be governor with out some prior political experience.

however, he's more experienced than arnold, and I can't help but feel like we need a liberal to cancel arnold out . . .

Then i beat myself with a cat-o-nine tails for succumming to partisan politics until I come to my senses.

I guess he's actually running for Senator is you read the link, which is bad. I think Governor might be a job that no one can really screw up because it has no large national responsibilities. I think that celebrities should probably be kept out of national politics, so even a Representative bid seems worse than one for governor. I think Senator Al Franken would be too wierd. And to think that if 200 people died or something, he'd be president is not a very good thought even for me.

ok 2 things
First, what experience does Franken have running a state that Arnold didn't have? Both are complete novices, just as Ventura was.
two, the governor of Minnesota, no matter what party he's in, doesn't have a canceling effect on California. if this was the house or the senate, i'd agree with you.

Al Franken is an asshole. He thinks he is a satirist, but a prerequisite of that title would be one would have to actually be funny (and not on the payroll of the Dem. Party) John Stewart is a satirist. Hell even Dave Barry is a satirist. Franken is just a mean spirited prick.

Minor nitpick: Ventura was actually the mayor of Brooklyn Park (a 'burb of Minneapolis) from 1991 to 1995. Not a huge amount of political experience, but still he was not a novice.

probably the same i'd pay to do the same from Rush Limbaugh's skull.....

ultimately governor don't matter much. that's why i didn't have such a problem with Ahnold getting the office. Senator is a very important office. And Franken seems to be the usual American leftist anyway.....he eats his babies with light beer.
