Is anyone else looking forward to this movie? I really enjoyed the book. I have high hopes that they won't totally fuck it up. My only concerns lie with their portrayal of France in the middle ages. I'm a stickler for realism.

Nope, but if you hang out on 68th & Broadway enough, people will hand you tickets to free preview screenings. The best part is plexing other movies afterward. I think I saw "Pirates of the Carribean" that night.

I thought the book was good, but everything I had read about the movie (mostly on IMDB) was pretty negative.

Well, I just saw the movie and I didn't think it was terrible. I did think that they turned Andre Merek into a pussy compared to the character in the book.

As I read this one I was like 'IF they can translate this into a movie, it would kick ass.' So much for that, from what I've heard.

The book was cool. I would have thought theyd get a reall kick ass person for Marek though, trained in swardplay and also fluent in ancient dialects .
