Yes Crippler, her and Jerome from Manhattan were supposed to read the lineups for both teams. Doris reading off the Met's card and Jerome reading the Yankees. Fox 5 was also going to cover it on T.v but unfortunately she was to ill to make it. I been listening to her calls since 1994.

I remember her! Wow, I didn;t know she called all those other radio shows.

By default if I can't find something I try the AM talk stations, and on Sunday morning WABC has that religion on the line, which is usually boring, but sometimes theres a good topic and it gets some good discussion.

And she'd call in all the time. I'm sure there were other shows I heard her on, and yes, I too must admit getting frustrated by her coughing but she was a dear sweet lady who, if this thread is evidence, was pretty frigging famous.

Wow i've only been listening to the fan for about 8 months now, but I still felt really bad when I heard she died a couple hours ago.
