I came out and saw a big puddle of transmission fluid under my car. Its a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country. Its got like 80,000 miles on it. I havent been driving it for a week or two 'cause it uses more gas than my other car. So, the car was off for 2 weeks and just sitting there, so I went and started it and let it run a few minutes so I could check the level once it warmed up, and it was empty! So, I know I wasnt driving it, and I dont abuse the car, so the only thing I can think is maybe I overfilled it about a month and ago when I added a quart after I noticed it was a little low. Im not a mechanic, but I do change my own oil and make whatever repairs that are within my capability, and Im thinking I might have blown a seal or something if I overfilled it. Keep in mind that its been sitting there for 2 weeks unused. Any mechanically inclined members have an idea on this? Also, if I add a few quarts so I can get the car to a mechanic about 4 miles away, do you think it will make it before it blows?
