PM notifications

How come when I get a private message from somebody else on the board, sometimes I get a notification that I have a message, and sometimes I don't? It's kind of annoying, and it has been this way for a while.

I got a notification yesterday and when I went to my inbox I saw a bunch of other messages from a while back I was never notified over.

I've mentioned this many times. I eventually just got tired of talking about it, and now I am a rude prick with my RF Mail. If I don't get back to some of you for days, I apologize but I just don't remember to check the mailbox everyday.

I have the same problem but worse. Not only do I not get the notifications but somehow the actual messages get deleted before I check anyway.

You ever try deleting your old messages? Its like pulling teeth! You can only do one at a time. Check, delete. Check, delete.. THEN, you have to go and delete the trash one at a time! I know most of you dont even bother, but it must be taking space up somewhere.......

I hadn't cleaned mine out for like a month or 2 and there was like over 100 mails in there! DIZZAM! It took like a half hour to clean them all out.

the notification is (improperly) linked to the new message flag. If it doesn't say new, you don't get a popup. But if you haven't read it, you can't tell the difference.
