Why do wrestlers seem to drop like flies?

This is the second time I've ever posted in this forum. First time I've ever posted a new discussion.

What gives? I understand when practiced move goes wrong, but it just seems a lot of wrestlers have died lately.

Being on the road all the time causes a lot of wrestlers relationships to go down the tubes, if you're not a top guy you don't make that much money and if you get fired it's hard to go from wrestling in huge arenas on television back to high school gyms.

Being a wrestler can be very depressing and just like regular people they tend to try and drink or self medicate the problems away.

A lot of wrestlers get hooked on the drugs they take to heal their bodies and abuse them.

After all these years of Vince's penchant for big "Hulk" type wrestlers, we are now seeing the end result of years of steriod abuse, of which performers needed to take in order to make it in his "Big Show".

The lifestyles of wrestlers have always been strange, to say the least. I really wish I knew what the hell it's going to take to clean up this damn business.

90% of the wrestling deaths in the past couple of years have been caused by prescription pain killer abuse. What we can't seem to understand is that day in and day out, these guys go out and put their bodies on the line to entertain us. Even though we see people taking sick bumps and getting up to walk out of the ring, it does unforseen damage to both back and neck.

Workers are prescribed drugs such as Oxycotin, Vicodin etc which are pain killers which can cause dependancy issues. Such in the case of "Pitbull II" Anthony Duarte, who was prescribed Oxycotin after years of wrestling died after overdosing on the painkiller.

This doesn't just happen among professional wrestlers, there are normal everyday people in the world who are dying from these medications.
