Yeah, it's a small mention on WWE.com in the headlines section. There's also mention of it on 1wrestling.com
There's no details as of yet.

I always liked Crash. Too bad he never got a really decent push.

Georgieann at 1wrestling is reporting the same thing. No other details, other than that she heard Michael Lockwood passed away around 1 PM this afternoon.

I remember looking forward to the joint audio interviews with Stevie Richards that used to be posted on Stevie's website. Absolutely hysterical.

I havent watched wrestling in almost 2 years but I remember Crash Holly. This is sad to hear, the guy was so young.

Here's what I found on wrestlingobserver.com. Again, very sketchy like the others:

Mike Lockwood, better known as Crash Holly and more recently, Mad Mikey, was found dead this afternoon at Steven Richards' home in Florida. He was 34.

We have no other details on the death at this time other than a report that he may have choked on his vomit."

This is from NWATNA.com
TNA Entertainment is deeply saddened to report that Michael Lockwood, also known as Mad Mikey and Crash Holly, passed away on Thursday. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mikey's family and friends during this difficult time.

...

Mad Mikey was set to return to TNA in a few weeks and start a feud with K.I.D. and Shark Boy for all those wondering. He was making huge waves with TNA and alas... One of my favorite wrestlers. Although he stole the Style's Clash I won't hold that against him.

Mikey... we'll miss ya! R.I.P.

I think the author has a point - Vince is the one in the best position to do something about the problem. Will he? Should he?

Wrestlers who have died over the years. (http://www.twnpnews.com/information/obituaries.shtml)

I always found these interesting as to seeing who has passed and sometimes what has happened to many of the stars from my childhood. I remember as far back as a few years ago the PWI Almanac having a long rundown and obituary on each wrestler that has died since the begining of Professional Wrestling as we know it. Really sad when you think about it and after reading the article above, I wonder if there is something that not exactly that Vince can DO about the growing iussue but something he can do to curb the use of such substances and/or have stricter testing and/or policies. I woul dhate to think that 10 years from now many of the wrestlers that I enjoy watching today could be dead due to something/someone that could have prevented it.

I didn't see a PWI Almanac this year. Was there one?

Those who've died this year.

2003 Necrology:
Naoto Morishita, The Sheik, Ox Anderson, Curt Hennig, Michiaki Yoshimura, Tony Altimore, Sailor Art Thomas, Kodo Fuyuki, Bruiser Brian Cox, Les Kellet, Ray Mendoza, Babs Wingo, Jackie Nichols, Kurt Von Poppenheim, Miss Elizabeth, Fred Blassie, Jack Curran, Danny Johnson, Mickey Gold, Tug Wilson, Giant Ochiai, Great Antonio, Pitbull #2, Frank Zela, Stu Hart, Road Warrior Hawk, Floyd Creatchman, Crash Holly

It should be noted, just to be topical, that Giant Ochiai is the wrestler in who's death recent WWE hire Kenzo Suzuki was possibly involved (the matter is under investigation).

Probably too fucking concerned about the fact that he was found dead at a current employee's house, and now they just want to sweep everything under the rug, regardless of how the death occurred. Dipshits.

Good for him. I hope he and his career will get through this unscathed.

Edited to add 1wrestling's account:

"Steven Richards did come out to Crash Holly's music, walk up and down the turnbuckles, and point to the sky before and after his match. He was visibly choked up. The crowd gave him a nice ovation after the match."

Well, it's the year in review... they'd look pretty foolish (and heartless) if they mentioned everyone else BUT him.

Did they actually do a clip tribute, a la Elizabeth, Stu Hart, and Hawk, or did they use a simple still photo? (I'm watching football, so I haven't a clue what was done)
