hmm, i've bought some really great albums this year but the best would probably have to be <i>auspicious minds</i> by a band called <a href="http://www.kpunk.com/yumebitsu/">yume bitsu</a>. this actually came out last year but i bought it this summer, after i heard adam folkner, who's in yume bitsu, play a set with some other musicians at this music festival i attended.
i also bought <i>we'll have time</i> by a band called dear nora, an all girl "pop" band from portland (i think). i haven't stopped listening to this cd since i bought it. it's pretty good stuff.
i also just received <i>live at jittery joe's</i> through the mail. this is a jeff mangum live album and it totally fuckin rocks. jeff mangum is the main man behind a band called neutral milk hotel. you can actually hear most of the songs <a href="http://www.knerd.com/~sashwap/sounds.html">here</a>.
this is probably some of the best stuff i've bought this year. there's a lot more, though.
