Wow, I've posted here about 3 times.

I'm clueless; I havent watched any Wrestling in about 2 years; I don't even know what the factions are now, and who is on top where.

Pretend you have to get someone up-to-date who knows next to ZERO about whats going on; when R+F [and you guys] talk wrestling I'm clueless.

Who's new?

Who's still around and sucks?

Who's old and coming back?

Whats the deal with the McMahon family, both Wrestling, and real life?

thanx!

Your gonna get way too many answers. Eventually we'll all be fighting over who's better and who's not and the who what when and the where and the how till we're grabbing our hair and we're tearing it out. (Thanks, Eminem) So I'd just start watching it and make your own opinions.

HHH had sex with a corpse. Dawn marie killed Torrie WIlson's father by giving him too much sex. Jericho had to pick up dog poop. Shane killed Kane twice. JR was fired, rehired, quit, rehired, fired again and rehired. Chris benoit jobs to Atrain. Eddie Guerrero sprayed the Big Show with shit.

I think that covers everything htat happened in wwe.

yeah thanks.

Vince whored his daughter out to business associates. Vince wants Undertakers wife raped by bikers. Goldust got tourette's syndrome from electrocution. Shawn Michaels found his smile and Jesus. Anyone who gets fired by WWE shows up on TNA the following week and gets a main event title shot.

-Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, Tajiri, Raven, Booker T, Lance Storm, Matt Hardy, Rey Misterio, Ultimo Dragon, Justin Credible, Edge and Christian held a combined 1 World Title.

-Former ECW legend the"Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer drank out of a urinal, ate his own hair and drank the Undertaker's spit tobacco.

Wait, you guys forgot:

HHH dumped Chyna before he could get her enough surgery to look entirely like a woman. Only to start banging the lovely Stephanie McMahon, and start changing her into Chyna. It started with the gaudy implants, moved on to the lean body (not totally successful to same degree as Chyna, but she's got curves I would love to hold), and seemingly has moved on to steroids in order to give her more definition, bulk, and a lower voice register.

Along the way, he accrued enough creative power from aforementioned boss'-daughter-schtupping to live an apparently life-long dream of reviving his own lame version of the IV Horsemen (complete with Ric Flair as lackey), and is well on his way to a mid-80s-Hogan-esque run as World Champion. When this ridiculously long run seemed bad for business with the plethora of talent under WWE contract, it was somehow decided to be in the best interest of the company to split its' roster in half. Thereby making it slightly less noticeable that he holds a meaningless title while young (and not so young) performers are trapped below the glass ceiling he had installed, wasting away their prime years with no possibility of being the headliners they might be in a different time in the business [see point #1 in SuperClerk's above post].

Sorry, there simply wasn't enough HHHating going on in this thread & I felt it my duty to provide a heapin'-helpin'. Hope it clears up some stuff, Mike, lest you tune in on a Monday night in the near future & be flummoxed by the lack of enthusiasm on the Raw roster.

Now that I'm thinking about it, you know what really did it in for me? For Crippler, who mentioned the glass ceiling?

Watching 'Beyond the Mat'. When I got the DVD I was psyched; but what I ended up watching was one of the saddest documentaries i've ever seen, and I'm a Documentary-Nerd.

I don't how 'true' the Movie was; meaning, it's a documentary, but we are talking about a field where deception is often the rule, not the exception, but...

The parts where they were showing, you guys help me here, the Wrestler had a bit of a name back in the day, may he didn't, but he was playing some bush-league gymnasium gig, and it was right out of the fucking beginning of Rocky 1! You know? Literally wrestling for chump change, when you're old and injured and...

sheeesh that was depressing.

But also what was Impressive was showing the absolute REAL physical shit these guys go through. I read about an 'open call' for wrestlers somewhere; all these huge guys, Monsters, showed up...

...and in an hour well over half had quit. Couldn't take the punishment dealt by the Pros, and much of it was the simple stamina to stay in.

I used to watch High School Wrestling like a fiend. WAY back I went to the NJ state finals a couple of times when it was at the Jadwin Gym at Princeton University. THAT Blew me away so severly I still get goose bumps; 8,000 people watching as they cleared off all the mats from the semis, until just one was left, and they come out, and each match is just bringing 8,000 to their feet over and over, and these 'kids' are just machines of muscle and motion, I mean it was an Art...

Beyond the Mat is pretty much as real a documentary on the wrestling business as you're going to see, Mike.

That was probably Jake Roberts (maybe Terry Funk, but you're likely thinking of Jake).

Jake is one of the most tragic cases of the business as he was extremely talented, but his personal demons (as you well saw in the film) destroyed his career, and his life.

Believe it or not, he still works in the business, I believe over in England.

You're thinking of ''MTV True Life: I'm a Pro Wrestler''.

I actually met Rory Fox (the second kid they focused on during that doc, after the first kid proved to be a major fuck-up) a couple months after that show aired. Nice enough kid, who still works on the indy circuit... and is still getting a hell of a lot of mileage out of his MTV stint (in fact, lately he's teamed up a few times with Tough Enough 1's Taylor).

If you haven't seen Beyond the Mat go get it today!

Saw it in the theaters during its brief release... probably the only time I've ever witnessed a theater full of people squirming uncomfortably as one. It's very interesting, but some parts are very hard to watch.

That's funny, when I saw it, there were about a half dozen people in the theatre, including my friend and I.

Well, I saw it in Philly, at a ''special engagement'' deal, so the theater was packed (mainly with ECW fans).

Chyna (aka The Chynna Doll) will be rapping in the near future.

Everyone pretty much covered everything else.

Oh, here's another thing that's gone down:

Sable quit the WWF a few years ago, tried to make a splash in Hollywood and failed miserably, filed a lawsuit against the WWF that failed miserably, testified on behalf of Nicole Bass in his/her/its lawsuit against the WWF (which also failed miserably), and then earlier this year came crawling back on her arthritic hands and knees to WWe. She left her husband and is now spending her weeks being groped and tongued by Vince McMahon on national television.
