On Monday's show the guys were talking about cheesy movies. As I'm listening to them I come across the new TV Guide.

They're really pushing the cheese factor on this one. It's the home delivery TV Guide, not the one you buy in stores.

I'm sorry I do not have a picture, but I could not find one on-line. But let me describe.

It's a picture of the 8 Simple Rules cast, looking SAD (at least Katie Segal does, the rest have a forced sad look) and then, over their heads to the right is a FADED picture of a smiling John Ritter.

His ghost is looking at the cast. His smiling ghost.

The guy died while his career was rising again. Do you really think he's smiling?

JEERS to TV Guide and their cheesy cover!

JOhn Ritter is not a good actor. He is average at best.

Thank you Lee Strasberg.

Actually, John Ritter was a good actor. Sure, he was typecast into comedy, but did you see him in Sling Blade? That was an excellent performance.

What he's saying is that your opinion is wrong. And I'm agreeing.

He guested on an episode of Buffy where he was really quite effective as a killer robot.

Seriously.

Anyone else notice that he's in the Christmas movie coming out soon with Thornton (who plays Santa Claus). Kind of spooky.

Now all the conspiracy people are going to come out and say he's alive and ABC is just milking his "alleged" death.

I'm watching 8 Simple Rules right now. This is the first episode I've seen since Ritter's death. Is this sort of... tacky? It's like they're bad actors, but then you think "Well, they really are crying over him, so it's sort of touching" but then it turns creepy, like we shouldn't be watching a sitcom about real grieving people. Something about it just isn't right and I can't verbalize it. Anyone?? Oh dear, is that John Ratzenburger....

Ratzenburger....
Now I'm starvin'. Yeah, I watched a little of this during "24" station breaks. I thought it was an okay transitional show, until the 2nd half hour when they started doing bad jokes without a laugh track. Yikes. If they wanna continue with this, the next show should take place 1-2 years later...at least that way we could understand that these kids went on with their hilarious lives.

Yeah I got my copy in the mail yesterday. Nice to see TV Guide getting in on the "let's milk this tragedy for all its worth" act.

God I watched the first 20 minutes. The first 10 minutes was good and very sad. As soon as the parents came the show went down hill fast. They are doing comedy without a laugh track. WTF was that guy talking about at the funeral when he was comparing himself being carried out of a bar to Ritter being carried in a coffin. That had to be the most uncomfortable horrible joke I ever heard. Also the fighting between the 2 parents was not funny, it was more uncomfortable. I did not watch anymore. I gave up on the show.

The show is done. I do not think it will last the rest of the season.

i have to agree with Lisa and Teen. It was very sad, but in an uncomfortable way. I pretty much watched it because i was in need of a good cry. but i dont see this show lasting much longer at all.

I thought he was great in that episode. I thoroughly believed he was a killer robot...

My wife has watched this show since the beginning. I usually on the internet during that time. Couldn't concentrate with all her sobbing this time though.

So I was forced to watch the uncomfortable attempts at humor. It was just awkward.

Here's an equation for you.

B ACTORS + B SITCOM + B ACTOR DEATH = RATINGS

This show shouldn't be on the air. Period.

i think every ABC show sux. I mean i get a laugh outta some, like George Lopez (sometimes). But in general the comedy is just sh*t. There is no talent. It's all stereotypical bull sh*t.

I mean come on "Married to The Kellys", "Hope and Faith". What the F*ck is that shit?

ABC has NYPD Blue. I think its the best thing on now. George Lopez sucks.
