The day after Halloween I went to Rite Aid to buy myself some discounted candy. No more Halloween candy, everything was red and green. Christmas lights were on the shelves.
I get home and the guy across the street from me is setting up his lights and decorating his house.
I dont remember it being like this before. It always come this early?
Thanks to Reefdwella for the great Sig Pic.

He also stores his urine in Mason jars in the basement. He is obviously insane. I feel sorry for you having to deal with this nutbar.

I was under the impression that the Christmas season always has and still does begin the day after Thanksgiving. I think you're dealing with a Christmas nut. He probably already has his Christmas shopping finished.

This guy does a pretty big deal every Christmas. He has these 15 foot tall wooden soldiers and lots of moving decorations. They close off the block the night he lights it all up. He collects donations for the local hospital. He works real hard on it, but damn-its still 2 months away.

i dunno, but i worked on Halloween at my Pathmark and they had massive amounts of candy canes and such for sale amongst other christmas-esque candies. this scares me so much. why does it come so quickly?

I refuse to acknowledge anything Christmas until "Black Friday" or possibly even Thanksgiving Day, depending on what time it is.

Even before, there were Christmas trees in JC Pennys a week before Halloween.

Hallmark starts releasing their ornaments in July.
But every year, the sales get earlier and earlier to cash in. When a was a lil guy, there were no sales till the day after X-Mas.

Its been about a week since my neighbor started putting up his lights. Everyday hes still out there adding more stuff. Its wierd to see Christmas stuff next to the pumpkins he still has out on this front porch.
Thanks to Reefdwella for the great Sig Pic.

Keep the Christ in Christmas kids. X-Mas is an obvious invention of Anti-Christian people.
Anyway, the Christmas store was open at Willowbrook 2 weeks before Halloween, and that was just the 1st time I'd been in that mall in months, so it may have been there much longer.

I went to the mall today (new sneakers biatch) and all the Christmas shit was up and the place was packed.
I fucking hate the mall, too many people and they're all walking slow and in front of me.

X-Mas is only celebrated by X-Men.
It's "Xmas".

Johnny, can you snag a digital camera and give us shots of your neighbor's house periodically? I'd like to see how a setup that big gets put together.

Good idea. I'll take some pics. He has a two car garage and behind each door he sets up plexiglass and builds this big robotic holiday scene. Its behind a blue tarp now but you'll get the idea of how serious this guy takes it.

I figured that in this day and age it stood for Xtreme Christmas...
Anywho, my wife works in retail, and they put up the 'ol Christmas decor before Halloween. My theory is that people need more time to finance for the holidays.

Also, if he has hot daughters or wife, take pics of them too. :)

i think 'much older' people start early because they have some anxiety about possibly not being around when the holiday rolls around...
