I also recommend this which had Rik and Adrian in it as well. This came out after The Dangerous Brothers.

The Dangerous Brothers you may ask? A side comedy project also by Rik and Adrian. Fucking brilliant, violent and most of all hilarious!

Saturday Live feat The Dangerous Brothers (http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/articles/s/saturdaylive_7775565.shtml)

If you can get this video and enjoy The Young Ones I highly suggest it. Tons of nipple clamps, T-O-R-T-U-R-E, genital grabbing and explsives make for some good laughs.

Just bought the Every Stoopid Episode DVD on monday. Freakin' hilarious. In honor of watching the first disk last night:

Vyvyan: Has anyone seen the potion that I was working on for class?
Rik: Potion?
Vyvan: Yeh, it turns whoever drinks it into an axe-wielding homicidal maniac, It's practically a cure.
Neil: Cure for what Vyv?
Vyvan: For not being an axe-weilding homicidal maniac.

One momnt that stands out to me is when the guys take Neil around looking for a job, and you hear the band Madness' "Our House" while the actual band appears in passing shots during the sequence. For some reason it's pure Brit.

This thread actually made me go to Suncoast and buy the dvd set. I hadn't seen this show in a long time, but it's even funnier than I remember it to be. That theme song: "Once in every lifetime, comes a love like this. I need you, you need me, oh my darling, can't you see...young ones...darling we're the young ones...young ones (shouldn't be afraid!)...to live, love, there's a song to be sung...cause we may not be the young ones very long!"-I can't get that friggin song out of my head!(I mean, me head).

Oh, by the way, which one's pinky?

...and I'd like to conclude by putting my finger up my nose.

My favorite part of the whole series is when Alexei Sayle gets up and sings the song about Doc Martens.

DOCTOR MARTENS BOOTS, YEAH
DOCTOR MARTENS

Anyone familiar with Bad News and More Bad News? It was a a take off of Spinal Tap. Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson, and Nigel Planer kind of played their characters from The Young Ones, but as an '80s metal band. Christopher Ryan wasn't in it. I have no idea who played the drummer (Spider).

It is indeed hysterical. I have it on video. I doubt it will be released on DVD.

The fourth member of the band, Spider, the drummer, played by Peter Richardson

Peter Richardson was originally supposed to play Mike on The Young Ones, but he had a falling out with one of the producers, so they had to cast Christopher Ryan, at the last minute. By the way, I got the Bottom dvd a few days ago. HIGHLY recommended! Edmondson and Mayall are such a great comedy team. The dvd is well worth the money: there are all 18 episodes of Bottom, plus bloopers, and some of Rik and Adrian's early performances. Good stuff!
