Flipside to the other convo... I've put a decent amount of work into my costume, and Liz's looks phenomenal...

The best costume that worked for the me the most was Jason Voorhees. It was my freshman year in high school, and I was HUGE. It worked REALLY well.

I think within the last five years, the best costume was my Indiana Jones.

Two years ago I was the Man In The Yellow Hat. Easy costume. Yellow cowboy hat and yellow clothes, and a Curious George doll I bought at a bookstore. It was a big hit and I won $100 second prize at party. It was also huge hit with the ladies. They eat up that childhood stuff.

This years should be pretty good. If someone has a digital camera, I'll be sure to share on Monday.

But favorite was my Superman costume when I was 7. One I remember for no good reason was Luke Duke of the Dukes of Hazzard. Worst was when I was 2, because I had long hair, my mother dressed me up as Raggedy Ann. I haven't trusted women since.

i did that once too, but I was the silver surfer. the whole thing fell apart in 5 minutes. That fell into one of my worst costumes category.

I was an awesome Ash from the "Evil Dead" films when I was 17. It was a monstrous bitch of a pain in the ass to get the strap/harness-thingy he used to hold on the chainsaw (The chainsaw was actually no problem once the "guts" were pulled out), but I pulled it off, shotgun and all. Even had a putty chin...

But the most fun I had weren't difficult costumes, but it was a group effort...freshman year me an about 8 or 9 friends all went as "Reservoir Dogs" and then next year we all went as "Dead Presidents". Easy costumes, but the pack mentaility was tons of fun.

I also have gone as a beer bottle, vagina...

They are both severley autistic. That is why there is a lack of eye contact. What they are both doing is stimming on my beaded necklace. Don't worry though, we practiced trick or treating for two months, and they did a wonderful job of it out in the community.
Here is a "happier" picture for you to look at. It was taken at our field trip to Wicks farm where we went pumpkin picking, went on a hayride, and went in the haunted house. All of the students on the field trip used their PECS (picture exchange communication system) to express their needs and desires.

When I was in kindergarten, I was an astronaut. I had a light blue jumpsuit with real NASA patches on it and a helmet and an American flag. My dad even gave me a nametag pin with my last name. My parents made that costume for me. I rarely, if ever, bought one. To purchase a halloween costume was nothing short of blasphemy.

Another year I was Giordi from Star Trek. Yes, a cracker like myself was walking around with a black mask.

I was also a Ghostbuster. I think if you were a boy born between 1981 and 1987, being a Ghostbuster for Halloween at least once is a federal law.

Why does that offend you? Is it because you've grown up with the belief that Hitler was a horrible individual and can't believe somebody would want to dress up has him?
Hitler killed 11 million people. That makes him at the most, mildly insane. The slave trade killed 300 MILLION Africans and other assorted people of color before it was shut down in the late 1800s. Why does nobody think about the Germans who got royally screwed at the end of WWI and had the equivalent of a large anal raping by various western powers?

This reminds me of one of the funniest things i've ever seen. When i was in high- school, this kid i knew dressed up like a tampon. Not a used on or anything, just a tampon, a gigantic tampon. He said he had been working on it for like 6 months or more, so you can imagine it was pretty involved, and it was big.
Anyway, when i saw him that day we were outside where everyone went to smoke, so instantly it was pretty funny; a gigantic tampon that was smoking a marlboro red.
Next to where we were was the football field, and this was the morning, so there was the morning dew all over the field, and a bunch of birds just covering the field and eating. So he gets this idea to go and see the birds. Next thing i see is a gigantic tampon with a cigarette running out into a field, squawking like a bird, and flapping its arms. The birds start to turn their heads to see whats going on, and some start flying away. As he gets into the midst of the whole thing, he slips and ends up on his back and starts kind of yelping and is still flapping his arms.
So to recap, its a gigantic tampon that was just smoking a cigarette and squawking and chasing birds, that is now on its back yelping.
Just thought i'd share that.

Give me something real. Give me back those years. Give me peace of mind. Give me something more.
