Alright, heres the story; a couple of weeks ago, i met a girl on Match.com(yeah, i know), anyway, she says shes 18 and some other stuff. I end up talking to her on the phone a little later and decide to see her on Saturday, which was good, except that she had to be home at 11, which i did think was a bit sketchy, along with some other things she told me, that were sketchy in their own right. So, Monday i end up being off from work, so i go and pick her up at high-school(an all girls, catholic school), we go back to her empty house and are there for awhile, doing a few things. In the middle of it, while my finger was on the button, her dog freaks out and she realizes that her mom has come home early. i didn't think it was that big of a deal, but she was kind of freaking out. Her mom comes in, her and i are sitting at a respectable distance from each other, with nothing going on. i can see the pissed look on her mom, and couldn't say anything, and had to avert my eyes from her. Her mom starts doing some yelling about being alone in the house, etc., and in the whole midst of the yelling, she utters the following sentence:
"(girls name), what am i going to do, you know, you're 16"
i had to fucking freeze, i'm 24, and as far i knew, this chick was 18. i was trying to figure out at that point, how i was going to put off the anal rapings in jail. So anyway, as far as her mom knows, i'm 19 right now. And i got out of there, fine for now, but if her father ever finds out how old i am, theres gonna be a 350 lb. 6' 9" firefighter killing me.
i'm not sure what i'm gonna do next with her, but i did find out that according to the current statutes in NJ, 16 is the legal age. So, i don't know.

Youre right, 16 is legal in NJ, but my personal opinion is that youre not safe. Imagine she turns around and accuses you of forcing her...what will a jury think of a 24 year old man with a 16 year old girl? Normally, 8 years is not a big difference in age, but what does a 16 year old REALLY have in common with you? (other than wanting to fuck?). Youre older, and supposedly wiser. In all honesty, the common interests lie in the fact that she likes me, and i like that. Hell, its been 2 and a half years since anyone gave a damn about me and paid any attention to me, and i like that fact that its finally happening again. And besides, when i first met her and talked to her for awhile, she was older, as far as i knew, so there had to be something there to begin with for it to even get this far. As for the sex, i really don't care all that much about sex, its like an added bonus for me with anyone i've been with. i don't go actively pursuing it at all, but if it happens, it happens, its good but i don't need it. And, as for her turning around and getting me picked up one day, because shes pissed at me, i've thought about it, and i know it would be a bit of an inconvenience, but i think theres certain things i could do to clear myself. Besides, i haven't had any sex with her, and aren't even actually trying to.

Listen to the man....his words are very wise. I know it seems very tempting on several levels to persue this 'relationship'. And the foremost is finding someone who wants attention for you. But to prove the point of CTC, she is 16, her attention will most likely move on to another person in a few months. Aside from her age and yours being so different....if she was 20 and you were 28..that is another story but I would avoid this situation.
