I checked up on these guys about 10 years ago when I first heard about it all. What was it, 3 or 4 brothers that all commited suicide? Plus another died in a car accident I think, then there was the young brother that got struck by lightning when they were all kids. Wierd shit.

I think one died of natural causes and three killed themselves, possibly overdosing. I known Kerry shot himself in the chest after being arrested for using a false prescrition for painkillers. The only brother alive now is Kevin. It's too bad, I would have loved to see Kerry become a bigger name in the WWE. He had some great matches with Flair for the NWA belt. No match really sticks out in my mind that he's known for in the WWE as the Texas Tornado.
I heard it all went to hell when they changed their name from Ruth and moved from Boston to Texas.
There is only one brother left.

I feel almost morbid for knowing this, but here's the rundown of the Von Erich death clock:
1950s: Oldest son Jack Jr. drowned in a puddle after being electrocuted. I think he was about 6 or 7.
1984: David, heralded by many to be the best wrestler of the Von Erichs, died at age 25 while on tour in Japan. The family publicly stated that he died of an intestinal ailment, but Dave Meltzer (among others) has always claimed that the wrestler actually died of an cocaine OD (supposedly the wrestlers who found David flushed some drugs down the toilet before calling the authorities).
1987: Mike, who was pushed back into wrestling after nearly dying of toxic shock syndrome, commited suicide by OD at age 23 after he was arrested for driving while intoxicated. His body was found three days later; during that time, good old papa Fritz tried to make an angle out of his son's disappearance, claiming he was "kidnapped by family enemies."
1991: Chris, at 21 the youngest Von Erich, shot himself, after a brief wrestling career filled with disappointment and steroid abuse. He was reportedly upset that his lack of wrestling skills embarrassed his father, and he never got over Mike's death.
1993: Kerry, 33, who had his foot amputated after a motorcycle accident but kept it secret, shot himself on his father's estate after being charged with forging prescriptions. He was also despondent over a failed marriage.
Fritz, who turned tragedy into money (for a while), died a few years ago of cancer at age 68.
Kevin is still alive; I think he was at the Fan Slam in Totowa a few months ago.

Unbelievable, I have actually always wanted to get a complete factual story on the "Von Erich" tragedies.

Peachy, yes he was, but I couldn't think of anything to ask him but about the deaths and I didn't feel that appropriate.

i was watching a Titantic related show last night where they were using DNA to put names to some of the 'unknown' graves. This mother and her four children were traveling to the US to meet up with the father. None of them made it and several years earlier they had lost a daughter by 'drowning' in a local river.
a little freaky...is it faith? or just coincidence?
are some people pre-determined to die in a specific manner? i'm undecided!

Oh, you mean ''Waldo's kid?'' ;p
Actually, I had heard that he had moved to South Africa several years ago and married into money, and that he continued wrestling down there. I'd love to have a chance to chat with a guy who was publicly ''disowned'' by Fritz Von Erich.
