This is another gimmick match invented by everyone's favorite, NWA's Raven!

Courtesy of NWATNA.COM's Official Preview:
Twenty years ago, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine engaged in one of the most brutal and bloody dog collar match in the history of wrestling. This week on TNA, Raven has promised to bring that brutality to a new level in the Hangman's Horror/Gallows of Retribution Match. Four dog collars and chains will be attached in the ring, and the object is to hang your opponent over the top until his passes out! Without a doubt, this could be one of the most brutal matches in TNA history as Raven attempts to take out Vampiro in order to get at Jim Mitchell!

What are your thoughts on this match? Do you think this match can top his own, "Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match"?

I think Raven is the fucking man & now I'm really pissed that Camcast of NJ took the PPV channels off regular cable & placed them exclusively on the digital format. Now I can't steal wrestling PPV's anymore & there's no way I'll be able to get an appointment to have digital installed in time to pay & see this match.

FU, Comcast.

If anyone can pull off such a match, it's Raven.

Crippler - check the NWA website, I think they may have a link to where you can see NWA in your area (i.e. sports bars, etc.).

Sorry to hear about that John. My "connection" disappeared for a few months because of Oxygen and other crappy channels but reappeared for some reason.

...

The match was bloody as expected. Both worked their asses off on this gimmick match and the crowd loved it. Raven is THE most over guy in TNA right now and TNA history for that matter!

One cool visual was Raven tying up a bloodied Vampiro by two dog chains that are on the middle of opposite ringropes as the life was fading away from him. Also another ill sequence was Vampiro getting hung and as he is gasping for oxygen the blood increases to flow downward with ever tug on the chain by Raven!

Raven eventually wins thanks to Vampiro tapping out to being hung over the top turnbuckle. After annihilating the last man in his way to Mitchell (we think because Brian Lee, Devon Storm and Malice are somewhere) he called him into the ring. Mitchell tries to throw a fireball at a bloodied Raven but he ducked and Mitchell scampers away. CM Punk and Dinero try to make the save but Raven continues to tell them week after week that he wants to do it alone. Hmmm... I wonder... the start of a CM Punk vs. Raven, TNA feud? I want it! I know all the TNA marks want it! Straight Edge vs. Extreme

"Dream blood Jim Mitchell... dream blood!"

i saw this match, unfortunately, it was the only good match on tna last week. Vampiro's bumps were rusty, and raven carried the whole match.

Did anyone see the blood squirt fror vampiro's head when he was being hung? or that terrible chair drop toe hold bump?

vampiro needs to train some more

hey..if Raven/Punk can work in RoH it can certainly work in TNA...maybe that could be a reason to bring in the other Second City Saints...

I will not go quietly into the nite...

Well I thought it was a solid match but was carried by Raven.

Raven can do it... give him the belt already!

It is not Todd. He has been active in singles and 6 man tags in CMLL. I guess he is not used to the American style just yet.
