It is as SIMPLE as this....
Trade Pedro the Poolboy to Oakland for Zito.
Less strikeouts...more wins when they count.
If Zito was on the mound in game seven it would have been game over.
If the Red Sox do that this 'curse' will end next season.

with the way the playoffs went? sheesh there are so many variables changing one like that means everything changes for the season.

those werent blowouts; it easily could have been boston or chicago. how many games were one out away for a team, and they blew it? weirdest October ever.

if anything, it shows how awesome the fact that the yankees made it to the top so many times. I think the 'casual' fan gets lazy, and some assumed if the Yanks make post-season, it's gonna be another round of rings.

Q: What if the Bosox won the next world series? How about the next two? How about the next 3 of 4 or soemthing. It would be frigging amazing right?

For the Yanks, that's just a good stretch. Meaning, untill someone else racks up a couple dozen World Series, american baseball, in terms of teams, is always gonna be about the Yankees vs. Everybody else.
