Wow, I didn't even think about that...he might actually be uglier with a haircut & a shave. Good God.

Oh yeah...and is it wrong to hope he nicks himself shaving & turns out to be an undiagnosed hemophiliac?

For what 25 games? Nice to know, but network blows compared to YES coverage. Pre and post game stuff, especially in the playoffs cant be beat.

ALSO Mike Kay's reporting that Yanks are out of Beltran sweepstakes.

Now that the Beltan pickup is off, I heard the Yanks are going after Torii Hunter. Anybody else hear about that?

Am I the only Yankees fan who's actually GLAD we didn't get Beltran?

I can't say I'm glad they didn't talk more seriously to him. But I would be fibbing if I said I wasn't looking forward to seeing him (a) stay in Houston, bcause I like the Astros & he's a great fit there or (b) sign with the Mets, listening to Mets fans thump their chest about it, then watch the team win 80 games again, in spite of two huge free agent acquisitions.

On the positive side of the Yanks not getting Beltran...I would have felt bad for Tino to see him sign here & be enthusiastic about his return, only to have Beltran sign, Bernie get most of the starts at DH, and force Giambi to play more 1st, thus Tino becoming an 8th inning defensive replacement. But I was looking forward to having a CF'er who didn't have the right arm of a 12 year old girl. Oh well.

Not signing Beltran is fine but what can we expect from Giambi? Going to the mets is a big mistakefor both of them, they should worry about the commie delgado.

No Beltran's fine by me. I think he's over rated/priced anyway. Here's why. With Beltran, we win 100-105 games. Without Beltran 100-105. I dont think he makes any difference. Johnson and Pavano do.
