What are people's feelings on this? They are heel but are protecting the WWE's women. Are they turning face, using the women by pretending to care about them, or are they trying to show Austin that he should not beat up women

This is real simple if I am thinking along the lines of Vince and the WWE. He seems genuine (in the eyes of a WWE storyline, that is) in his wanting of a relationship with Trish. While Christian is playing copycat to try and bag or bang (however you see it fit) Lita (thinking that is Jericho's intent and maybe to one up him in his mind) cuz we all know her man or ex-man is on WWE Smackdown, Matt Hardy. She is free to say and do or have done to her in any way shape possible... damn, that sounds so hot.
Y2J may be slowly turning face and Christian is simple "Mr. Peep."

I agree that Christian is just looking to get a little by copying Jericho. Although he had me rolling last night when he playfully gave Lita a tap on the chin with his hand.
I'm not sure where they're going with this storyline. The smark in me thinks that all of this is possibly just a setup to have Jericho seem to turn face, only to eventually turn on Trish to further cement himself as a megaheel - or to simply use her as a pawn in his effort to get rid of Austin.
But who knows, they may turn him face.
As usual, though, EVERYTHING Jericho does is done well. He's the only one on RAW - and possibly the only one in the WWE - who can take whatever bad shit they throw at him and still come off well.
