Man oh Man if you think That's bad, when I started teaching I found out fast that Textbook companies have salespeople who want you to buy their texts, and that's how I found out about 'ABeka' Books.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.

The bible also makes reference to "Sheol" which is where people get this whacky idea of hell being a fiery place of torment. Doing some simple research you'll learn that the defintion of Sheol is the abode of the dead or mans common grave.

The way I see it, over the past few millenia, a lot of people have gone to hell. I bet after a while, with enough people, they've made themselves a nice little community down there. It probably looks like one of those gated communities you see in the suburbs. Maybe it's called Everhell or Hadesville. I'm sure the rules are a bit tough, like having to burn a cross every night on the front lawn or get a visit from the hounds of hell. Overall, I'm sure they've made it a nice place.

I'm laughing, and my eyes are looking around, thinking, 'someone thinks this is real. in fact, a whole bunch of people.'

And anyone notice how on most of these Fundamentalist Christian websites you see pictures of every race, creed, and color; but when you look at

1. the people who run the organization

2. Jesus and other figures who lived 2,000 years ago in the middle east...

They look So White.

And who the hell are people named Mary and Joseph doing in the mid-east 2000 years ago???

I though John saw 144,000 being baptized in a river and that represented the total number that could get into heaven.

Book of Revelations Chapter 7

Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

basicly, this has been interpreted(by some) to be the literal number of people Jesus will take with him during the rapture. these 144,000 will go stright to heaven and not have to live through the end times.

then those that survive the great tribulations combined with the saintly dead who have been resurrected, would live in the kingdom of Christ, a peacful Earth, not in Heaven.

I researched this, I didn't know it off the top of my head. I too remembered something about 144,000. The thing is, it doesn't just say 144,000 people from anywhere. It's 144,000 jews. I guess they really are the chosen, and all this was just a waste of time.
