To start it off, I'm going WAAAAAY old school with:

1) Space Food Sticks --- I used to like the chocolate and the butterscotch flavors.

2) Shake-A-Puddin' --- Remember the song?
"Shake, shake, shake-a-puddin',
puddin', puddin', shake-a-puddin'."

" and they ask me why I drink"

what were those muffin things you would toast in the toaster? They were good! They might even still make them, it was like a corn muffin, but flat, then they started making weird flavor ones, anyone? They usually had them in the bread aisle near the english muffins...?

Remember Rodney Allen Ripey for Jack in the Box.

Fad foods I remember - I remember when Big Gulps came out no one thought you could drink that much soda at one time. Back then they would pour the drinks for you. Slurpees and Big Gulps were behind the counter. You would have to tell the clerk "not so much ice"

I remember when all of the "Monster cereals" came out Boo Berry would make you shit turn colors.

Ok does anyone remember those pizzas that you would cook in a toaster. I think it was Butoni, the looked like a pita shaped pizza and everthing was on the inside. You would pop it in the toaster.

Oh yeah, those rocked ( especially late night ). I don't remember who made them either, but you can't get 'em no more. I was also fond of the Chef Boy-ar-Dee pizza in a box mix...........dry dough mix that you just added water to, a can of spicy sauce, and a small package of dry cheese. We use to cook them in a small electric pizza maker that looked like a miniature Weber grill.

I don't think any of the food I ate in the 70s had any nutritional value. I was probably one Flintstones chewable vitamin away from rickets or scurvy.

Handi Snacks cheese and crackers were the shiznit. Also, lunchables when they first came out and were just ham cheese and crackers. Now you can get a whole fucking pizza hut inside of one of those things.

"FIZZIES"
Kinda like Alka Selzers, but they're fruit flavored.
Plop a purple one into a glass of cold water, watch it fizz and bubble, when it's through you have a wonderful refreshing grape soda beverage.Text

Hm. Have you tried Every Single 7-Eleven of Similar Type Convenience Store, Everywhere? Or haven't you been in one of those since you were a kid. Jesus Christ.

Sunny Doodles are so much easier than Yankee Doodles when it comes to eating an entire one in one shot, to minimize crmbs. But they are both lacking when it comes to cleanly seperating the whole gooshy mess from the wrapper. However, in both cases, I have little compunction about chucking the whole mess of wrappers and plastic out the car window. On the curve, of course, for secrecy.

Those bubble gum cigarettes were cool, if you blew through it, a puff of powdered sugar would come out and it looked like smoke! My mom saw me do that once and she almost lost it on me!
Remember freezing Charleston Chew and smacking it against a table and it would shatter? soo gooooooooood. And the Marathon Bar too you could do that. When I was a kid "Gatorade" was finally available widely to the public and only came in twelve ounce cans. The three flavors were lime, orange and fruit punch.

In the early 80's hot dogs were released stuffed with cheese but only lasted a few short years. I always felt that this was a great idea that bombed because the "frank" used in that particular line was just awful, a very low grade of quality.

"Big League Chew" was a big hit that was packaged and had the texture of chewing tobacco.

I can remember as a young kid going to diners and curiously checking out a new fad everyone was ordering called "mozzarella sticks".

"Taco Bell" and "Pizza Hut" were also only introduced to northern Jersey in the 80's and was a new style of food to me as a child.

The "Ham and Cheese" sandwich was released and pushed by Kraft foods in 1987 surpassing the "Sicilian Pizza" as the great food fad of that time.

I remember this gross colored microwave popcorn.

It didn't taste good and your fingers would get coloring all over it (blue, red and green).

I used to love getting out of school and buying some bravo chips and crystal pepsi. That made my fucking day.
