KOTOR problem

okay, im in the middle of playing knights of the old republic. im up to the part where i am about to face Malak for the first time, but i have one massive problem: im in a space suit. and i know i shouldnt be in one. i have to face Malak without any lightsabre, i only have force powers. and Malak is so strong that he can handle simple force powers. i know i shouldnt be in a space suit right now, because the other people in my party arent in space suits. how do i fix this problem? i have tried taking off my jedi robes and putting them back on but it doesnt work.
