The Good News for fans of Cringe Radio: The phone call was not a bit.

The Bad News for fans of Cringe Radio: I'm not offended in the least by Wonderboy. I was I think for about hmm... a minute.


Hanger-on? Hey, who knows? Actually he has a point, as anyone who knows me knows I just finished a voice work gig and I am dipping my toes around in different stations now that I can. Often, when doing Vox Tracking for a station, you will sign something saying you won't work for other stations. Which is why I wasn't in-studio with the boys until Monday night. Calling in was fine, being at a remote is fine. My past employer simply didn't want my voice on when it wasn't through a telephone. If you want to hear MY production [which blows everyone else's away, just download the 'Staples' clip I made in the files section. Only to hear some real multi-show, multi-voice, multi-tracked bit with an actual plot. Shit, I'm bragging!] So if you want to hear me on the radio, feel friggin free to write WJFK. I'll bite. Ha! Mike and ___ Show! WooHOOO!!!

And if you think I am upset at Wonderboy, It ain't nuthin compared to how Ron feels about a lady getting her head shaved. Because there is a real chance it's gonna happen, I think. I do know it's not a bit.

For those who don't remember, and this really has nothing to do with tonight, but Ron and others heard what happened to Stalker Patty. Not the Head Shave. The Wig Steal. On That Show. The airwaves exploded and spilled over, leaving Ron and Fez helpless but to take hours of calls about how horrific it was when they heard Patty screaming in Midtown. Again, This isn't [I pray] going to ever happen to anyone else. I'm saying `girl having head shaved' doesn't ring a `Happy' tone in many people's heads. Am I the only one who remember those Threads? People wanted Heads to Roll. Bad pun. And Bad Memories! Ouch!

Folks, don't be angry at people who insult you. At best, don't carry and hold the anger. If someone pushes your button, you can remind yourself that it is indeed your button, and you can either get upset, or not.

As you heard at the end, when Ron said `now it's getting personal' I responded with `not for me.' Then I yelled "SEEYA!!! To show everything was cool. Which it was. A person shooting at me is personal. I've between teaching and working clubs so much I've broken up so many fights I can't remember most. None of those ever upset me. A voice may upset me or not, but I hold the option to not let it upset me, and it doesn't.

The only person I feel for is that poor lady who just might end up with her head shaved. You see? All of the sudden, any anger for me at Wonderboy disappears. I actually feel sorry for the poor girl. Because if you think it's a bit, I can tell you for Sure it isn't.


All I know is, I ain't having nothing to do with this test tonight. I thought about submitting some cool IQ test Questions, like we did on that thread. But I am not getting NEAR this one. I'd feel like I had a Cub's Hat, Walkman, and Glove, just sitting there, waiting, and then one of my Qs ends up getting a head shaved.

And as bad as SHE might feel, all I can say is, think about Mr. Cubs fan, and DANCE FOR JOY THAT YOU AREN'T THAT GUY!!!!

Just a note, Patti showed up at Bar 9 the very evening of the BIT with her wig.

I have yet to figure out what show half this board listens to, because anytime anything halfway amusing happens, there is an outcry of how mean or annoying the source of the amusement is.

This board is flooded with threads knocking Al Dukes, Billy, Wonderboy, Harry and Rory. Yet, it's obvious particularly since they've been gone, how much they contributed to making the show great.

Life sucks, people are mean and comedy is being able to laugh at the expense of someone else's displeasure.

While the bits may not be choreographed and scripted, for anything to translate on air it does have to be over the top. Get over it and stop being backseat fucking drivers.

man I am so sorry for how things went. What was I supposed to do though, let them shave her head? How would you feel if your girlfriend came back from a radio show bald? In the end I fucked up everybodys day by trying to stand up for somebody I care about, I'm sorry for making fridays show "the low water mark" I know alot of people are pissed at me for comming into it, but I got to take a stand sometimes, it's a mans job, sorry but thats my way.
Either way, don't go too hard on alissa, she really didn't meen to screw things up this bad, it was a mistake, by everybody invovled.
I don't want to loose Alissa, at least as a friend. Actually though, what ultimately transpired was a direct result of beginning of the discussion on art and where wonderboy made his comments on Mike the Teacher. It ultimately became an argument between him and Jay Dubs and lead to the head shaving. So in it way it is related, but still it isn't. I understand why people are discussing the other matter though.
