It's apparently confirmed.

It's true. FANGORIA has learned that New Line Cinema is seriously considering adding Ash (Bruce Campbell) to the inevitable FREDDY VS. JASON Round Two that the studio has in development. This is not some Internerd rumor, though the notion has been tabled out there in horror fandom for months. Sure, we've heard about other permutations for a follow-up to the blockbuster rumble (everything from FREDDY VS. JASON VS. LEATHERFACE to .VS. CHUCKY to .VS. MICHAEL), but the Ash scenario, evidently, is the only one that New Line is treating as a legitimate idea. We'll keep you updated.

If this happens, than I will never have to see another horror film - nay, any film at all - ever again.

I will have reached nirvana.

What I think they should do is put 3 "nuts jobs" characters in that same movie and have them face of against htemselves. Nicholson comes back to play the Shinning character, DeNiro plays Max Cady agian, and someone needs to think of a third guy for me.

Oh man, I got to see this movie if they are serious in putting have ash v. jason v freddy. The only postive thing about this news is that you know ash will get the best lines in the movie. What next ash v. Micheal myers v. jason v freddy

Becasue the movie would go nowhere. Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees would be almost in the same in this context and what would Pinhead do? Send them to hell?

This could also give Ash the name recognize to launch ED4.
