Free Caller ID On Cell Phones Appreciation Thread

Thank God Caller ID is a free service provided with cell phones. I love being able to look at the little screen when it starts to ring and decide "No. I hate you and don't wanna talk to you, so I'm not answering." Thanks built-in Caller ID service.

But cell phones still suck. cell phones are fabulous. i used to feel like you do, and i was the only one of all my friends without one. but, one day, i got stuck on a bus for about an hour while the president's motorcade was going by. i was expected at home, and i was freaking out that my mom would think something horrible happened. i had to ask a guy on the bus if i could use his phone (and don't even make me tell you how i convinced him) to call home. the next day i got a cell phone.

caller id is great, i screen all my calls.

Wanna hear something weird regarding call screening? I have to call people professionally, Im like a telemarketor, but I only call people that have asked for specific information. I really dont want people to pick up when I call! I know its my job to do that, and I get more "points" for more closed sales if I do, but I really dont want to have to give my pitch to a person. I also notice that 99% of who picks up are women or young women. Its like they cannot allow a call to make it to the machine! They must think they are missing an opportunity! When a man answers, I know its a failed phone call because any man who doesnt screen his calls wont allow you to pitch to them. I never EVER answer my phone, I screen all calls and only pick up if its somone I wanna talk to. Whos with me?

There's talk with the number portability in November that telemarketeres may be able to call cell phones. If they start eating my minutes with their bullshit ads, I'm going to kick their asses and sue their mothers.
