No matter how well Lndros performs, he will always be a scumbag. This is similar to the Yankees getting Clemens. It makes me sick! Bring back Barry Beck!

It's great to be loyal Tom.
It's pathetic to see all of those empty seats at the Nassau Mausoleum. What happened to this once great franchise? I hated them back in the day, but hey, they were great.
As for the Devils: "Hey, let's have a victory parade..in a PARKING LOT"! LOL

Bossy, LaFontaine...the good old days...these days I wear a paper bag over my head when I go to the games.

yet - LETS GO ISLANDERS

Rangers - "Hey the Islanders tried a concussion prone Lindros...why don't we...maybe we can both fail miserably!"

Finally the Roost has come back...

Ya know, i honestly wouldn't have minded them trading for lindros, except for the fact that they gave up so much damn talent, young talent! i dont even really care about Brendl and Jonnson (even though both are gonna be damn good), but how do you give up Jan Hlavac!? The guy only played half the year and still managed to put up 64 points. He had superstar written all over him. You lose graves, you have a shit goalie in Richter, your centerman is forty somethin years old, this team should have just endured another season or two of shittyness, then cashed in on their young talent. now i hear they are going to sign hull, which isn't bad because they won't have to give much, just cash flow. and god knows the rangers seem to have lots of that to burn. i guess all we can do is hope they trade away richter, pick up some young talent, have fluery come back to where he left us last year, and finally make the damn playoffs..<br>Ouch, a monkey just flew out of my ass. I guess that was to much to ask for.

As a life-long die-hard Detroit Red Wing fanatic, I feel it is my duty to notify you all that we shall take our rightful place alongside Lord Stanley's Cup once again this year. Hasek and Robitaille? Now those are off-season signings! Lindros was all but invisible against us in the Finals in '98, and I don't ever see him being a post-season performer.

And while you've got my hockey juices flowing again, I must give props to those Islander teams from 1980-83. I watched all their games, as that was about all the hockey you could get on cable TV back then. My favorite? Old #23, Bobby Nystrom.

I dont know who i hate more right now, Glen Sather, or Gvac, for different reasons, but concerning the same person. It seems that Sather has let an all-star talent slip right threw his fingers, Brett Hull just signed with the Wings for 2 years, worth 10 million..Your telling me that the rangers, who are looking for any ray of light, anyway to help this team make the playoffs, couldn't flip the bill on a 10 million dollar contract!? hell offer him 12 million, he's worth it, and the Rangers would definatly have a lot more going for them when the return to camp in september with Lindros and Hull and Messier. shit its all monopoly money anyway, especially in New York. Sather was a shit GM in edmonton, and he's a shit gm in New York, why do companies in Professional sports continually hire people that fail in other markets!? Dont they learn from their mistakes. Thats like a big radio show in New York hiring a shitty little Producer who forced a show in florida to cancellation. Oh wait, I guess its done everywhere. (i'm speaking of al dukes for the brainless). I'm so bitter right now..

Red Wings? Damn gvac that' un-American! They have more Russians on that team than a welfare line in Brighton Beach Brooklyn!
And regarding empty seats, thats the sad part about Ranger fans like myself..we go now matter what. There are few empty seats.

Hockeytown, USA un-American? Never! But seriously, do you guys realize that out of the famed "Russian Five" line the Wings used to put out on the ice, only Sergei Fedorov remains? Larionov and Kozlov were both released this off-season, Fetisov retired, and we all know about the Vladimir Konstantinov tragedy. It breaks my heart whenever they show him in the players box.

And Five Pumps, no one understands team loyalty better than me. Want to know a real dirty secret? I'm also a life-long, die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan.

How can you guys question Lindros' post season ability? I'm horrified to think that so called educated hockey fans would be discussing imaginary things like the Rangers making the playoffs! Shame on you. And God for bid they do ever make the playoffs, it would probably be because Scott Stevens knocks Capt Concussion out for good.

I'm beginning to question what kind of fan lilchicklit is...we all know lindros struggles in the post season (and thats an understatement) but think about it, he's workin with messier, he's finally someplace where he's wanted, the GM's not breathing down his neck to produce, all sather wants him to do is stay healthy so he doesn't look like a schmuck for tradin so much talent..i think with a healthy fluery, a healthy messier, a healthy leech, a healthy lindros, and richter in 94 form the rangers can make a serious push...Like PaRappa the Rapper Said "I Gotta Believe"<br><br>GVAC, no ones perfect..although i dont know how u came up with the bengals? unless in some wierd fantasy you thought you were icky woods (spelling?)..i feel for ya man..

No matter how bad they are, The Rangers are still the #1 team in this area. Most Devil and Islander fans are nothing but frontrunners. Empty seats during the playoffs? Not at MSG! Oh, and by the way...Ken Danyeko is a drunk. Thank you.

empty seats? not very many, and only in the early rounds because we are accustomed to making the playoffs. Of course Ranger fans have to go to as many regular season games as possible, that's all they have, aside from the Rangers annual golf tournament help mid-spring every year, hey Lindros can take a couple strokes off his game for sure. He'll have plenty of time to play during the long offseason.

I would love to take part in this discussion... But I am an Islander fan... therefore I must sit in F'n silence while everyone can talk about how great there f'n team is, and how there team is going to be in the playoffs... oh what I would give to see my boys in the playoffs... I will go back to F'n dreaming now--- CYA

Devil Fans are nothing but Ranger fans who couldn't get season tickets...and Heckler, its not just kenny Daneko, goto the Verona Inn, i've seen more Devils there pre-gaming (or the night before) drinking their faces off..no lie! One more thing, the islanders dont look half bad this year..they've had considerable upgrades! check out their roster...i mean they still suck, but ya never know :)

As a life long Rangers fan I cant believe the sacrifices Sather made for such a question mark. Does anyone remember the last time we took on a head case? He sure played great for a couple of months but who woulda thunk it that he would be knocked out permanently by his own teamate!!! Sure we bought one cup in 94 but sather must realize those same guys who Won the cups with Edmonton in the 80's are 20 years older now!!!! The future is now and it is beong traded!!!!!

I remember when Glen "Slats" Sather played for the Rangers.
A tough guy, but I think that he took too many shots in the head!
Oh yeah Devils fans...waiting in the parking lot yet?

no place to tail gate in Newark -- the parking will all be Lots (park and Pay) + they expect most fans to take mass trans. --- yea right in NJ -- Lose'n the BB ARENA is the worst thing for NJD hockey -- and this comes from a NYR fan who enjoys the tailgates of Giants games.
