View Full Version : TNA's 1st 3 Hour PPV: "Bound For Glory"
RF Godfather
10-09-2003, 06:28 AM
Mike Tenay confirmed it last night to the TNA Asylum. It is scheduled for November 30th and is suppose to be the most star-studded TNA PPV ever.
...
There are rumors that a few matches that are going to go down are:
Hogan vs. Jeff Jarrett
Sting vs. AJ Styles for the NWA World Title
How much are you willing to pay for this PPV? 15? 20? 30? No price is confirmed as of yet.
...
DISCUSS... if you want.

WOn't Jeff jarrett be champ by than. So cannot wait to see Hogan win the belt and for them to rehash the russo vs Hogan angle.
The name sucks. Consider this is their Wrestlemania. At most it should be no more than $20.

And of course the anti-TNA fans strike first.
You guys are way too negative with the TNA product fellas.

I am not anti-TNA, however the name for their biggest show in the history of their existence S-U-C-K-S! And do you honestly think Hogan would jeapordize his shot at coming back for Wrestlemania XX with in the eyes of many a 2nd rate fed to not be champ and to job to a bunch of no names. You are talking about HOgan here. If he is not champ within his first 2-3 shows I will be shocked.
And you know russo vs hogan will be done again as soon as he shows up. Guaranteed.
I am not anti-TNA.
I am anti any wrestling company not opened by someone named Vince McMahon.

TNA'S Triumph? TNA's Legacy of Gold? I don't know.

RFMark, the key is to ignore the anti-NWA, pro-WWE marks that troll these NWA threads - they have absolutely nothing of worth or consequence to add, and should be treated as such.
I have severe misgivings about hiring Hogan, BUT looking on the bright side, as I choose to do with NWA, having Hogan around (at least in the short term) gives the promotion more publicity and attention than they would otherwise have. Hopefully, he can help draw them business.
And do you honestly think Hogan would jeapordize his shot at coming back for Wrestlemania XX with in the eyes of many a 2nd rate fed to not be champ and to job to a bunch of no names.
If he's getting paid - yes.
Working with the NWA won't jeopardize his chances of working WM XX - it's likey a lock he'll show up there. Vince knows that having Hogan there for the 20th anniversary of the PPV Hogan helped make important likely means money in his (Vince's) pocket.
And Hogan will job when required. He does it all the time in his Japanese runs. I don't expect him to be laying down for Shark Boy, mind you, but jobbing to Styles or Jarret? I can see it happening.
You are talking about HOgan here. If he is not champ within his first 2-3 shows I will be shocked.
I think it's a possibility that Hogan could win the title but I don't think it's going to happen. Most likely he'll feud with Jarrett / Russo, and should he actually get a title shot, I can see storylines being written so that one of those two "screws" him out of it.

This would have more of an impact if individuals such as yourself weren't saying this exact same thing when TNA opened.....over a year and a quarter ago.

I just thought of a good one. Especially if the main event is Jarrett vs Hogan
How about Redemption or Revenge in the Ring or War to settle the score.

Hogan vs. Jeff JarrettHogan should come down the ramp and lay down in the middle of the ring.
Give Jarrett a taste of his own medicine.
What-cha gonna do Hogan, When double J and his ego-mainia runs wild on you!!!

i caught tna last night and it was a good show except for the 3LC match (Just happy ron killins lost) but this 3 Hour PPV sounds nice.
I will have to see this while i wear my autographed Raven t-shirt.
What i think they will do is probably have Raven/Vampiro at Bound For Glory, why waste it for a weekly ppv? better off saving it for the 1st super-ppv

Also add a Cage Match between the New Church and the Gathering! That could be the shit!

Hot rumor I have just got wind of from my very reliable source... instead of being at its regular TNA Asylum, it is being said that it will be held at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Wow, if true, how could they swing this one? They have that much money to spend on this event? Wasn't this WCW's old stomping grounds?
Anyway, just trying to keep RF.Net up-to-date with TNA related material. :)

It is going to be somewhere other than Nashville.
Where I don't know, but they want a larger venue for the PPV.

From 1wrestling.com
It was announced that Hulk Hogan will return to New Japan Pro Wrestling to work their biggest event of the year, the traditional Tokyo Dome show held on 1/4.
New Japan announced to the Japanese media that it would be sending Junior Heavyweight worker Tiger Mask IV to appear at the NWA:TNA Bound For Glory PPV on 11/30. Mask has worked in the United States before in 1997, wrestling The Great Sasuke while representing Michinoku Pro Wrestling at an ECW event in Queens, New York.
...
Oh my God! Tiger Mask IV at BFG! If Fallen Angel wins the X-Title tonight... could you imagine a match for the title at BFG... Curry Man vs. Tiger Mask IV (they have met before, it would be stellar)!
What about an Ultimate X match? Maybe Hart, Red, Kash, Cross, Dutt, Juvi and Sabin for the #1 Contendership of the X-Title? AMW vs. XXX (Low-Ki and Skipper) vs. Siaki/Ekmo vs. Simon/Swinger vs. 3LK vs. S.A.T. for the NWA Tag Titles? Raven vs. Vampiro in some gimmick match like a "Human Torch Match." How about the return of the Hard 10 with Sandman, Abyss, Mad Mikey, Slash, Sinn, CM Punk, etc?
Just thinking out loud. Could you imagine? This could be off the hizzy! :p

It would be tremendous if NWA could work out some sort of deal with New Japan similar to the one that was formed by WCW back in the day.
I'd love to see TM4 against virtually any of the X-division workers.
