Also, i live in the heart of boston, and I just ran through a huge rally of fans with by Yankees jersey and a sign that said "Bring it". I almost got killed.

I sure hope there isn't any light being made of this. Hate the Red Sox or love the Red Sox, that was some pretty scary stuff. Pretty touching when Jackson broke down a bit after the game ended. Reminds me of the guy from the Marlins who got hit by the batted ball by a Red Sock earlier this year. I heard that Damon should be alright but will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. They may be ballplayers and in the public eye but above all these guys are human and mortal just like any of us.

Jackson was a mess from the time it happened to the end. I was surprised they kept him in the lineup--how could he possibly keep his mind on the game after what happened? When I saw Damon lying on the field, it struck me that he was one of the few who refused to shave his head in order to reverse the "curse". If you believe in that kind of thing, it could be thought that he acted as a curse magnet, taking all the bad luck himself. Yeah, thats not something to be made fun of. Not head injuries and not to a nice guy like Damon. Hope he's okay.

Anyone see the fan who was stupid enough to taunt Jackson when he was brought back to the dugout? What an asshole! But it was better then the cop put him in a choke-hold as the guy pulled away from him so he could be escorted out. That made me smile.
Damon only has a concussion, which is good..he will live. But this is the third time this year that guy has taken it on the noggan for this team. He is the Homer Simpson of the Boston Red Sux. D'OH!!

Any other Mets fans get flashes of Mookie and Lenny Dykstra crashing heads in 1988? That was unreal. Had the collision happened in Yankee Stadium, the locals would have carjacked the ambulence and driven poor Johnny Damon off a cliff (like when Homer fell out the back of the ambulence).
