View Full Version : Kill Bill: Tarantino's 4th film?

For me, I consider it his 5th film. I think of True Romance as a Tarantino film, even though he didn't direct it. He wrote it and has a heavy Tarantino feel, unlike Natural Born Killers.

Nah.

Significant parts of "True Romance" were changed from his original script.

If Clarence doesn't die, it ain't Tarantino's

they mean 4th film written AND directed by QT. He's written more than that.

Heck, Tarantino wrote part of "It's Pat!"

Let's be careful where we tread.

According to the IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000233/), he...

appeared in 16 films
wrote 12 films
produced 12 films
directed 9 films

And they don't mention It's Pat...

Has he ever given a reason (other than I'm writing) as to why he has made one film in just about a decade? I am a huge Tarantino fan and have always been baffled by this grossly over drawn layoff.

He said in a recent "Entertainment Weekly" article that he just kept writing two massive films, this and "The Inglorious Bastard", his WW2 flick. Both ended up being around 300 pages, well over 3 hours long each...

This is what I'm worried about.

I don't want Quentin turning into another Kubrick.

Kubrick could turn forever into eternity.

Ditto with Peter Gabriel.

Keep in mind that because of union rules, you can work on a script and not get "official" credit. Otherwise, given the number of rewrites do many films go through, you could see a list of 20 or more people credited as the authors of a script.

That's all it was. He "tweeked" a few scenes. Did the same thing for "Crimson Tide".

Apparently he and Julia Sweeney were friends at the time...

directed 9 films

I think they mean the 4th Full Length FILM written and directed by QT

Of the 9: 1 is a short film, 1 is 1/4 of a film, 1 is a TV show, 1 is the second part of the 4th film (when they came up with putting "4th film" on the promo material it was still to be just one film) and 1 is the movie he's doing AFTER Kill Bill.

I don't think they should have said "4th film", I think Quentin Taratino's name is plenty.

And his scenes are really fucking obvious. Which Silver Surfer do you prefer?

Apparently he and Julia Sweeney were friends at the time...

Like her scenes in Pulp Fiction?

Did *I* like them? Well, she was only in one, and she's given the corniest line in the movie...so other than that, pretty forgetable.

And you're right about the "Tide" scenes. That Silver Surfer bit sticks out like a sore thumb.

TheBride was joking (and that joke was from
www.aintitcool.com anyway) The joke is the plot twists
from Sixth Sense and Empire Strikes Back actually being in
Kill Bill.

The real spoilers are Bill saying {beep} to {beep} after The
Bride {beep}'s {beep} {beep} off. I thought they were
going to show {beep}'s {beep} after Uma said
{beep}{beep}

Wow. and remember that scene were Buck
{beep}{beep}{beep} for $75? and the guy from <beep>
got his {beep}{beep}! And in the Anime section were
{beep}{beep}and{beep}{beep}{beep}.

Great flick! Can't wait for Feb!

And yes, it was obvious that spoiler was a joke perpetrated by a current board member.

And YerDaddy, we would, but it would ruin a certain scene early in the movie with Vivica A. Fox.

And am I the only one who thinks Uma only looks hot in QT flicks?

I don't know. I think she looks pretty hot in this piece of shit movie. And she's also hot in Gattica and Batman and Robin. But I agree that she's at her hottest in her QT flicks. I think it's because at some point in both of those movies she's covered in blood and saliva.

so we can call her "The Bride" "Uma" or "{beep}" Click
