This is really pathetic, but I'm so clueless on wrestling I have to ask these questions; only because I never thought I'd need the info, or maybe it just slipped out of my head.

I'm 40. Class of 1981. I watched a lot of wrestling,

The whole Captian Lou-Cindy Lauper thing
Rowdy Roddy Piper and the Piper's Pit.

Thats all I remember. What years were these peeps active? What was the league? Names of the Shows? Was it all just WWF?

And shit, I thought the GLOW girls were cool as hell.

wrestling sucks now. i used to watch it when it was good, at noon for an hour before american gladiators. back when ultimate warrior was put into a casket. those were the days of wrestling. its too much just for ratings now.

Dude, this is one of the things that got me hooked on wrestling. When I was 8*, I was a HUGE Cyndi Lauper fan, and when I heard on MTV that she was getting involved with the WWF, I started watching.

Yeah, that was all early 80s WWF, although most of those wrestlers were active before that.

There's a good chapter in the "Sex, Lies and Headlocks" book about the whole Captain Lou - Cindy Lauper angle. Basically, it gave the WWF a ton of exposure and helped put them on the map.

And shit, I thought the GLOW girls were cool as hell.
