The old post was killed so I was told to repost by Jafter.
Here are some new links.
The first one is to the soundtrack and the score. The name of the tracks on the score seem to validate the " teasers " that I posted a while back.
The second link shows 4 scenes from the movie. They aren't trailers, just actual parts of the film. Kinda cool.

The only thing I didnt like about the one scene, when the broad is in the house talking to those wackos, is that they are trying to explain too much about Leatherface. You really dont need to know/want to know anything about him. You dont wanna humanize him. If they do that it could take away from the aura you know ?

i disagree. the origin of any villain or hero is the most important part of the character. jason from the friday the 13th series for example, his origin is what makes me love him so. his wasnt an evil born from evil, his was an evil born from love. thats what made him great, what seperated him from all the other slashers out there. and leatherface could be separated as well. if the audience just believe his a 'madman' then what makes him different?
its like, what makes spider-man better than batman? in my opinion its the fact the peter parker could have prevented his uncle from dying, where as batman could not have stopped the slaying of his parents.

But you dont think that Leatherface is less intimidating by them rationalizing why he's killing people ?
Its sounds like from the clips and spots on TV that they talk about him having a problem with skin on his face ( therefore giving him a reason to hide behind his masks ) and that he just " doesnt know any better " is a sellout to why he is slicing people up.
I like the idea of him bjust being one carzy scary bastard and not knowing anything about him is more scary than knowing what drives him.
I know it sounds a little too deep and its just a movie but I think they are valid points.
Especially when they are remaking what many consider a classic.
This isnt like redoing House On Haunted Hill or 13 Ghosts.

A few stores are selling a new special edition TCM this week. Does anyone know the difference between the original DVD and the new special edition. I have not scene any reviews and was just curious.

This one is going to be the 30th Anniversary one, but I cant see the major difference from the 25th anniversary one. Not much sounds different.

UGH!!!! Saw the movie today and it wasn't scary as the 1st one. But Jessica Biel looked good in a wet t-shirt though.
My bro liked the movie. He even thought the black and white clips were freaking real.
If you go...you'll either like it or hate it.

Me and Pants just got back from seeing it a little while ago. I shook like a freak and thought I was going to puke for about half an hour afterward. It wasn't even that great, but the graphic bloodiness every 15 seconds made it worth seeing. I've never seen the first in its entirety so I can't really make a comparison, but I am absolutely going to have horrible nightmares tonight.
