I just hope that these kids' parents don't find out where their money's going.

Sponsored by the fine folks of Everquest. Yeah, that's something I'd want on my transcript.

eh you don't think that having an A in that course would be helpful if you were going into a career of game-programming?

That's what I was thinking when I read it. It's a class, not a whole major... This ultra-conservative national attitude seems to want college students chained to desks somewhere, being beaten with hickory sticks...

...well actually, they want them as human shields for our millitary, but that's another story...

I know it's a class, not a major. that was for dramatic effect.

I think it would be a fun course to take (and not just because I already play eq =P).

Plus, even with buying the game and paying for a semester's worth of subscription fees, it would still be less expensive than 1 college text...

If it was sponsored, do you think they'd have to buy it?

The course description states that you're only playing the game and then writing up a few papers on the culture of online gaming. Hey, I took a couple of easy classes in college, and a lot of classes are of dubious educational value, but this one seems to be an excuse to play Everquest for three months.
