Man oh man, what an outstanding job they did on this!
The film has been completely restored to it's original theatrical glory, with the full performance of "A Quick One" from the Rolling Stones "Rock & Roll Circus." Half the song was cut in the previous video versions. All the colors have been balanced, and the speed is normal once again. Various portions were sped up in the past.
The audio is in 5.1 or Stereo, with the 5.1 really shining! How they were able to expand mono is amazing, and expalined on the second disc!
The second disc also has a new interview with Roger Daltrey and director Jeff Stein, trivia games with prizes ;), multi camera angles of "Baba O'Riley" & "Won't Get Fooled Again" and other little goodies.
It's so nice to finally have a definitive version of this classic rock documentary!

Get the 2 disc "Special Edition" since the one disc "Deluxe" version is just the movie and a commentary track (which is very entertaining!)

Final Grade = A :)

Wow; I didn't know this was NOT out on DVD; I just assumed it was.

What an awesome movie. Even if you're not a Who fan, the Smothers Brothers Show appearence ranks as on of the weirdest momenst in TV History.

And, as I'm sure who6489 knows, the Baba O'Reily and Wont Get Folled Again songs are the last timne keith Moon ever played them [or was recorded playing them live, i think].

That is true. It was the last time Keith played with the band.

Oh and another cool feature is that you can turn on an info bar that will pop up at the beginning of each segment, saying where and when it was filmed!

I love this movie. I used to OWN IT ON TAPE BUT (DON'T MIND MIND MY GRAMMAR, THE CAPS LOCK IS BROKE) BUT THEN THE vcr ate the (oh that's better; it's working again) tape when i was hitting it REPEATEDLY (DAMN KEYBOARDS) WITH a hammer (ah, much better). I wasn't sure WHICH SYMBOL (SHIT) TO put down (ahh) so i went with the LIGHT bulb.
