I saw this article (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,98563,00.html) and a report on the California Zodiac Killer and how they may have a break in the case. This is one of the most interesting serial killers who up to this point has gotten away with his crimes. I remember reading about and doing report on the original Zodiac killer in high school. So to see that they have some compelling evidence on a guy who may just be the killer and he may already be behind bars is really interesting to me. I hope this is the guy and they get him.

As far as the killers go, he is one of the most interesting. I can't believe SOMEONE hasn't broken that code!

This old guy is probably dead by now. I saw a History Channel show on him. They get leads every now and then and nothing pans out.

I think there's a piece of shirt he took from that cabbie he killed that may finger him. I think he split a piece of fabric in 3 parts and mailed 2 of them. That means if someone can find that 3rd piece in an old man's draw or safe, then he was the Zodiac.

I thought they found him a few years back in Ozone Park and they killed him when he held those people hostage? I remember he sent out a note that had that unusual + in the O thing to his writing.

The fact that it was in NY tells me it was not this guy. I think this dude was from Cali or somewhere. You may being thinking of the other Zodiac killer, but i dont think he was killed in Ozone park either.

There was two different Zodiac killers. One in California about 30 years ago, and one in New York about 10 years ago. The one in New York was a caught and is in jail. The one from California they've had lots of suspects, but this latest guy they seem to think is really the guy.

Here's another interesting website (http://www.zodiackiller.com/index2.html)on the Zodiak which features, letters, the code he used, the murders and more.

If I'm not mistaken I believe the suspect at the time was described by one woman who escaped him as a young man possibly in his early twenties, so it could very well be this guy.

ok, when it comes to the zodiac cali killer, he was a genius. rumors says that because his murders ended all abruptly either he was incarserated for some other offense, and not tried for the zodiac killing, or died. We need more killers like him.

So you'd pick the person who'd involve the most pain, torture and degradation before you died? AND probably a decent dose of forced man-love, before AND after death? Interesting...but not suprising...

The Zodiac case has always been one of the weirdest out there. He's so different from other serial killers in that he was so willing to kill out in the open, his crimes lacked the typical sexual release, go to such great lengths to prepare with the code and costume and such, AND he killed with a gun. Outside of he and Son of Sam, that's almost unheard of with serial killers.

But what about the Green River Killer? Hasn't he supposedly killed at least 30 people for a few decades now and STILL hasn't been caught? Someone will show up dead in the typical fashion every year or two...

not to familiar with grk, and even if he did race up the numbers, did he taunt the police like the zodiac killer?

as for killing in the open, the closest we've had in a while are the douches in dc. it's been a little while since we've had the "typical" serial killer- the last i remember was this dude in poughkeepsie, who chopped up hookers and hid them in his family's house.

the one thing that made him different, was that he was he first black serial killer.
