I can see a train wreck from a mile away and this Goldberg thing is sure to leave a bad taste in the mouths of all WWE fans. The guys as one dimensional as a stick figure and his aresenal of moves can be compared to an old drunks trusty knife and cracked beer bottle. It's been too long since the WWE have teased us and quite frankly I'm annoyed. There are so many ways you can use RVD that you don't have to think to hard to create a good feud to lead to a PPV. Plus, with the reputation Goldberg has, HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU SELL A LEGIT TITLE LOSS? Hmmm, YOU CANT!

Simple logic: make RVD the champ, book matches with him defending the belt against guys with ACTUAL talent, and ratings will begin to go up. How hard is that?

Oh, another thing...FIRE THE ENTIRE WRITING STAFF. THESE STROYLINES START OFF GREAT THEN JUST CRASH AND BURN!

I used to be a big "Rob Van Dam" fan from back in the E.C.W days. Everyone can save their time hoping for something that will NEVER happen and I will tell you why.

Rob Van Dam has never possessed the mic skills or personality to even be considered to hold that strap. That's it.....you need charisma and an "air" about you that he doesn't have and cannot learn.

RVD is not a good talker. However if he had a manager like say I don't know Paul heyman and he is a heel than you got something.

Don't look for a RVD title run.

He's still over, and still entertains in the ring (even though he's been phoning it in the past few weeks / months), but he's not considered a good worker, and his verbal skills are lacking.

He has a reputation for being careless in the ring with other workers, which is bad enough, but he's personally injured HHH at least twice before.

And the WWE management has unofficially already lost faith in him in having what it takes to be a top guy in the fed.

Maybe that'll change, but for now, best you or I could hope for is maybe an IC title run.

First off, let me go against the smarks' code of ethics and say that I genuinely like RVD. This wasn't always the case: during his ECW days, I found him to be a true dickhead. However, over the past few years, he's become a bit more fan-friendly, and, while he's not the best wrestler on WWe's roster, he's certainly one of the most entertaining, as well as one of the most over, despite obvious efforts to downplay his popularity.

That being said, I can't agree with putting the Raw belt on him, when there's a perfectly good Chris Jericho going to waste.

Yea, the ratings would just shoot through the roof with RVD as champ.

he is a heel than you got something

except the fans never could acept him as a heel. he is too exciting in the ring. look at the invasion angle, he was supposed to be heel, but the fans kept cheering him.

And my rebuttal...

Mic Skills: Not much to say about it, his mic skills flat out sucks. My logic would have been to bring over Bill Alfonso back when he was coming into the WWE to fill that gap, but obviously that didn't go over well with WWE management.

Charisma: Who's more arrogant and conceited than Rob Van Dam? The guys as cocky as The Rock and to say he doesn't have a certain charismatic "air" to him is ridiculous. He has the right attitude to be looked upon as the champ, let's not get silly.

In Ring Work: To be fair. RVD has slowed down a bit recently. WhY? It looks to me as if he's hesitant on performing certain moves as not to injure his opponent, nor himself. Gone are the days when you'll see RVD leap over the rope without batting an eye. Now a days, after injuring Cripple H before, and prolly being threatened by management, he's being a bit more precautious. And to say RVD isn't a good worker nor the best on the WWE roster is a total joke. Let's all be real folks, who's better than RVD? Jericho? No; Jericho slowed down and isn't performing his moves as precise as he used to, nor does he put on the same type of dynamite show we've come to expect. None the less, he still does put on a pretty good match. Booker? No; Booker suffers from the same symptoms that's ailing Jericho. It's called "WhoGivesAFuck-itus". I don't blame them. The guys don't seem to put their all into matches like the once did. The chances of them losing the hunger to compete due to bad promotions and bookings are very high for these two, and Van Dam. It's the same thing that pushed Tazz into retirement.

Anyway, out of the entire WWE roster on the Raw and Smackdown brand, I seriously can't see a better canidate to get the belt than Van Dam. You'll all probably call me an idiot, but unless you can prove me wrong otherwise, I'm holding my grounds.

EDIT: I can't spell!

Well he is IC champ now and it was a fantastic match with Christian.

Yeah that was a really good match last night. The crowd was going nuts everytime he went higher on the ladder for the frog splash, can't be easy jumping off the top in a shakey ring.

Christian performed well too.

Why? He can barely get over with the fans and his in-ring work is in the toilet.Jynx, that was why like I have said time and time again put him on WWE Smackdown since they lack main eventers and to get rid of that BORING gimmick off his WWE career. Put him in a feud with maybe Haas or Eddy to start. Then down the line, he could eventually hold the WWE World Title. Or if not, Storm... go to TNA!

Could you imagine a WWE World Title between Storm, Angle and Benoit? Pleasure overload.

Why? He can barely get over with the fans and his in-ring work is in the toilet.

ANYONE can get over with the right gimmick. Giving him a gimmick where the WWE actively solicits its audience to chant "boring" every time he walks out to the ring will not only NOT get him over (although, in the WWE's twisted logic, that is what it was designed to do) but is counterproductive to the entire product.

As for his ring work, he's a decent technical wrestler, but RAW is not a good place for his style. I agree that he would fit in better on Smackdown.
