Thanks for your insightful comments, Mr. Wadd. :| I'm guessing that you're posting this because you feel the need to be the first to post every news item you find, and not because you're a fan of this man.

I doubt you'll find a lot of interest in this item on the board. In fact, I would say it's safe to say that the vast majority of people on this board have no idea who this is. That's a fact of life when someone best known to an earlier generation dies.

I'm not a huge fan myself, but I am familar with, and have enjoyed some of his work. I'm not big into musicals, but "Singing in the Rain" is pretty entertaining. In that movie, Donald O'Connor does a pretty inventive slapstick number called "Make 'em Laught" and steals the movie. It's worth checking out if you get the chance.

It does seem like the celebrities are dropping like flies.

I don't know if all these people should be considered celebrities. They have been noteworthy, yes, but not celebrities. It seems like a handful of celebrities died, and everyone said, "Holy shit! Celebrities are dying!!!". The only way to keep up the act was to find increasingly more obscure people to report dead.


Oh, and when you said that O'Conner stole the movie with "Make 'em Dance", you couldn't be more right.
