I just saw the ROTK trailer in theaters today and words cannot describe how cool it really looks. I simply can't wait till Dec. 17th.
Anyone else seen the trailer yet? I know it officially comes out online and on the E! channel this Monday.

I've seen it online. They don't play up the shit that's going to be really cool - the battle of the Pelennor fields - at all. I suppose it's an attempt to distinguish this movie from the second one.

As excited as I am to see Return of the King, I'm a little more eager to get the extended Two Towers DVD. The one for Fellowship was excellent, and the teaser on the Two Towers DVD for the extended DVD was excellent.

Just the Huorns alone makes me want this copy. I like the clip with Eomer (or Aragorn) stopping all the soldiers "Do not go into the forest!!" I'm hoping they might even show the Ents breaking through the walls of Isengard as they did in the book.

-----------------------------
Now I'm starving

I'm about to turn it up a notch!

I honestly can't tell the difference between this one and the second one. Do I need to turn in my geek-card now?

That's mostly because most to all of the stuff that really makes this part unique would spoil the storyline. Trust me on this, this movie will blow everything else away, no matter how much samurai armor you put on Tom Cruise, or how many boats Russel Crowe sits on...

The part with the sword has me drooling as is, because it's absence was something that's been bugging me since the first movie.

I can't wait to see this. I have been looking foward to it since last December. I especially look foward to see how they did Pelannor Fields, and to see Eowyn fight.

tickets go on sale tomorrow for the all day geek-fest on 12/16. Extended FOTR, Extended TTT, and then the premiere of ROTK. Wear a catheter.

Still more that 2 months away. and that is like an 11 hours of film. Jesus.

How much are tickets? if the normal 7-9 dollas than that's a good deal. But what a pain in the ass! (Literally, My butt was hurting after Fellowship of the Ring:Regular Version. I fell asleep during the first time I saw that, I saw it again at an earlier show with some coffee beforehand. Same with TTT)

Found the answer to my question:

<b>" On Dec. 16, New Line Cinema presents this movie marathon at theaters across the country, and locally at the Uptown. For the cost of one ticket, "Lord of the Rings" fans can watch the extended versions of "The Fellowship of the Ring" and "The Two Towers", followed by an early screening -- the night before its official opening -- of the final installment, "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King."</b>

The uptown is a theater people love in the DC area, I get bothered by the curve on their screen. And they aren't the best seats in the area, so bring your own seat cushions!

You can also get them for the Loews 42nd street ewalk theater. They'll be on sale tomorrow at 1 PM EST and you can get them through fandango, as far as I know. Go to <a href="http://www.theonering.net">torn</a> for more info.

Personally I'm joining the torn line party for the same theater and only going to see RotK. However there will be a party beforehand with stuff like a trivia contest, costume contest etc etc etc so it will be loads of fun. Plus you won't have to get there super early and freeze your ass off outside to get a good seat. Line places are determined beforehand, so instead there is a party indoors beforehand and then you just go over to the theater and enter the theater in the correct order. It's way better.

EDIT: Looks like it won't be the price of one ticket. In DC it's looks like it will be sold as three seperate tickets at the normal prices depending on time of day(FOTR @$6.25 and TTT and ROTK@ $8.25) in NY more than one theater showing it, price $25-30

I think I'll skip this and just watch the DVD which I know I'll be buying on November 18th (http://www.theonering.net/features/newsroom/files/trilogy_tuesday.html)

I think it'll just be the one theater, think they'll sell out? Most of the show will be on DVD already. People will be buying tickets for this thing before TTT:EE DVD comes out, but one month later they'll have that DVD spend a month watching it and then sit in a theater to see it and a year old FOTR:EE DVD before seeing anything new.

It just amazes me, I wonder how many of those people are in Frats?

:p

DAMMIT! I tried to get tickets this morning before I went to wrok and they weren't available. I just got home and tried and they're sold out. FUCK! Now unless I want to travel over two hours, I can't get tickets. DAMN! FUCK! SHIT! I hope they add more showings.

People are such scum bags. Tickets (that sold for about $30) are on ebay now for up to $225 (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&ht=1&query=Trilogy+Tuesday)

Now if these movies weren't on DVD or about to be shown in WIDE release all over the world, maybe it would be worth something, but come on...

This one is for 2 adult and 4 children for the DC showing. But it's not the whole trilogy, just Retur of the King. And it's up to $120 already! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2196100224&category=16122)

Gonna go now and see Kill Bill, Fuck you Fezzie!
