I need it stat. Tech Support, Customer Service, Corporate HQ, the office of the CEO... I don't care. Just any number I can use to contact them, 'cuz it sure as hell isn't listed on their website. Apparently they like to keep it a big secret.

Catch-22. How can you contact them via email when your Internet access is down?

In my opinion, there's nothing in this world beats a '52 Vincent and a red headed girl.

AOL has awful awful awful tech support. Now that you have the phone number, good fucking luck actually getting a person on teh phone to help you.

Yeah the tech support has sucked over the last few years. I remember a few years back you could talk to a techy in a room and they'd help you out.
Now I think its all computer run and what you type in goes to a database and spits out the " answer ".
You can tell because the follow up questions after your initial post almost ignore what you've previously written.

John hits the nail on the head. 75% of the time I get a representative that is VERY hard to understand due to their poor English. The other 20% of the time they speak the language just fine but have no idea what to do or how to help. The remaining 5% of the tech help is actually helpful and comprehendible in one sitting. It is a horrible experience and EASILY the worst customer service department I have ever dealt with. This is not an exaggeration either. Oh by the way, my "Online Live Help" hasn't worked since 2000 and through 3 different versions of AOL.

It's really sad because I have been on AOL since I had my AOL v1.1 floppy disc. All of AOL on one floppy! You couldnt even get on the www on AOL then. Wow, what year was that?

Anyway, there used to be a time where they had tech support that answered your call and had you talking to a human in about 2 minutes. And they worked with you. Long Gone.

Lets see...

1. Founder Steve Case leaves

2. AOLTimeWarner announces they are dropping the 'AOL' part.

Can you say Sinking Ship???

I dont think they are in any danger of going under financially. They have far too many subscribers paying $ 24.00 a pop. I just think that they will scale back their support and thats how the member will suffer.
