I've moved from Mach 3 razor blades, to the Mach 3 Turbo blades for shaving. It's an even better shave.
I also have a Norelco electric razor, but for close up shaves I use Mach 3 Turbo.
What do you use to shave.

I use Mach 3, the last pack I bought came with a free Turbo. I'll probably buy those from now on.

I don't know of a razor for women, though I have a special protein based cream that you can use. It comes in a pink tube. ;P

Amy, I haven't tried it yet, but that new Intuition razor has conditioning gel that releases as you shave so that is extra protection in addition to the shaving cream.
Also, about the woodfloor, try lathering up really good with soap first, then put the shaving cream on top of that. It adds an extra layer of protection and I can tell a difference when I do it.
Plus, get a really good lotion to put in that area as soon as you get out of the shower. They have lotion now that says it actually helps control hair growing back and softens it. Just spend some time in the lotion aisle and see what you like. That's what I did and I ended up getting Jergens Cooling Lotion with Cucumber extract. It works well. :) Good luck, I know razor burn su-ucks.

I use the Mach 3. I haven't tried the Turbo yet. The Mach razor is a great shave, but it's expensive as hell. It's anywhere from $8 to $10 for just a 4 pack.

believe me, i spend enough time down the lotion aisle and the shaving cream aisle every night at work hehe.
right now after i save i use that new Skintimate After-Shave stuff.
ive also seen the intuition but we (target) run out of it quickly, i did stock a whole bunch the other day though i should run there before we run out again.

I find the Turbo to be the best one I have used.
I still can't shave more than twice a week without bleeding profusely anyway. I even bleed using an electric.

Did anyone else read this thread's title and initially think Reef had just watched "Breakin'" a few times too many?
Anyone?

No one here.
I use regular Mach 3. I'll try the Turbo if I can use the same handle.

I had no idea M.A.C.H had a new razor out so thanks to this thread I will pick up a pack tomorrow and try it out. I'll report back during the weekend to put in my 2 cents.

i have been using a Norelco electric shaver for years. You dont get the closest shave with electric razors..but with the way my life has been lately, i dont think its safe for me to have a razor blade so close to my jugular.
how do you "turbo charge" a razor blade anyhow??

You can, though the one I got at CVS has a cool handle as if it's made of speckled stone. Plus it comes with a flashlight that looks like one of those mini-maglites. It works pretty well too.

I find the Turbo to be the best one they made yet, BUT, last night I was in Walmart and saw a new one from Schick called Quattro with 4 blades! Im gonna try it this morning and report back. I heard that Gillette is suing them for it, so there must be something similar. I got the Venus for shaving other areas, but find that it cuts me up when new. I was never a fan of Schick, so Im kind of apprehensive. I think of Schick as a poor mans Gillette

You should add that to the Poor Man's (http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/viewmessages.cfm/CurrentPage/1/forum/82/Topic/21249/RequestTimeout/500) game

Mach 3, but must try Turbo.
Worst shaving experience was with Bic disposables. Nearly tore my entire face off. Horrible.

I used the Quattro this morning. It has 4 blades very similar to the Mach 3 Turbo, but they have these 4 super fine wires spaced evenly apart perpendicular to the blades edges. Ordinarily as I shave with my Mach 3, I will get nicks if Im not careful. With this, I did not get any cust whatsoever, because the wires kept the skin from entering the blades edges. But, I had to take probably twice as long to get it as close as the the Mach 3 Turbo. Id recommend it to anyone who easily get cut while shaving.
