I watched all 4 matches on the Spanish channel yesterday. Japan looked tough, as did Germany. The French girls lost which should please many. These women play for pride and play balls out. (some of them may HAVE balls) I'm excited for the USA today and I plan on surfing between USA/Sweden at 12:30 and the NFL. Our girls are on channel 7, the rest of the games you have to watch on Univision in Espanol.

I went to the double header in Philly yesterday (France vs. Norway and North Korea vs. Nigeria). It's fun to watch because, like DJEvelEd said, the women give it everything they've got. It seemed like the stretcher was on the field carting a Nigerian off every 5 minutes during the second half of the North Korea-Nigeria game.
Hopefully, the place will be packed Thursday night for the US-Nigeria match.

I love World Cup soccer, and unlike most sports, soccer is a sport where there is little difference between the women's and men's games. Hell, if they didn't have any closeups of the players, it would be tough to tell if you are watching a women's or men's game.

it's too bad the WUSA folded right before the WC started.
