Well, here goes...for now...
http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000C7GG2.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
Other than that, Ryan Adams has a new album, two new EP's (That make up his shleved "lost" album) and a box set of B-sides, rarities and side projects (Think "Demolition", but much bigger and better) all due out by the end of the year.
And the man himself, Paul Westerberg, will have two new albums (One under his own name and his rockier "Grandpaboy" alias), a DVD about his 2002 tour and a soundtrack for said DVD out by next spring.
SCORE.

I'm all about a Phil Spector-less "Let It Be".
I'm NOT all about it being re-titled "Let It Be...Naked".
Paul McCartney is a maniac.

You may know it by its other name: "Beatles Anthology Volume 3".
I think that hair dye is seeping into McCartney's brain.

I guess this should be in a different thread, but you got Indy Trilogy (there is a rumor that Lucas is so pleased with that DVD set that he plans on putting out the real Star Wars Triogy on DVD in a similar set) Matrix Reloaded, The Two Towers Extended DVD, Scarface (Special Edition), Fargo: Special Edition, Tenacious D: The Complete Masterworks, Orgazmo (Special Edition), Goodfellas (Special Edition), From Justin to Kelly

It's monstrously spectacular. Easily my favorite album of the year. And like you I was expecting Dre's side to blow Big Boi's out of the water, but BB'S tracks are just as, if not at times better than Dre's...pick this album up NOW.

FIRST OF ALL;
Thanks to all of you for NOT putting the Guns n' Roses record on your lists. That band is no longer valid and I'm glad to see that people aren't counting the days.
SEVENDUST has a new record coming out. Butch Walker produced it. It will slam!
TRIUMPH the Insult Comic Dog is coming out with a disc of new skits and greatest hits. Nice.
NINE INCH NAILS. Haven't really heard anything from Reznor in a while. I'm sure the new record will be a departure. Looking forward to that.

Because after 3 years, no one actually believes Chinese Democracy is actually coming out.

Here are a few I just picked up that I was dying waiting for...
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0000AWCFX.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
ALL HAIL "DEEP CONCENTRATION". This series had been coming one a year from 1998-2000, but then vanished for the last few years. It was one of my favorite hip-hop comp series and it also highlighted the best turntablists of the day, and now it's back and it's fuckin' BETTER THAN EVER. This is THE comp to check out if you think hip-hop is all about the weak shit on MTV/BET.
ALong those lines, Bomb Hip-Hop records is realeasing volume five of their highly acclaimed "Return of The DJ" series. It was supposed to end with volume 4 but the label's site got pounded with e-mails demanded it come back, so here it returns, and it shall be glorious.
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0000AM6O8.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
Jesus holy donkey FUCK, this album is beautiful. South is a UK band whose debut "Here On In" only came out a little more than a year ago and they're already back with a debut that outshines the the first one's seemingly perfect beauty. I want to describe these guys, but I'd just fuck it up. Check the samples at CDNow or something, but if you want flat-out gorgeous melodic rock, pick this up NOW.
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0000C7PVR.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
Just got this at Best Buy today for a piddling $5.99. NICE. A great mostly "alt.country" comp compiled of rare tracks, b-sides and "lost" songs. "New" stuff from Lucinda Williams, Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson, Bright Eyes, The Jayhawks, Whiskeytown and the man himself, Johnny Cash. Grab this thing while it's dirt cheap, foo'.

Yes, it did. And it became better. The prices at CDNow had become insanely high before it was bought up. Now practically every CD offered has sound clips and best of all they offer used copies. And you can still get there by typing in the same address, so it's basically the same as it ever was.
