Let's just say that back then it was a special time. Dan and I were budding US Olympic Team Figure Skating Superstars until he discovered beer and I discovered the wonders of Vicodin. Things could have been so different today, I guess you really can't go home again.

Agreed. I only met this renaissance man recently, but the guys the goods. Any person who can spew about Don DeLillo and postmodernism despite having a blood alcohol level that was higher than my G.P.A. in college gets my vote. <P>
Avoid the Vikes. The acetaminophen in them alone will turn your liver to pudding. Not to mention the constipation. Go for the new Percocet 10mg/325 tabs or better yet Percalone (just Oxycodone) or Oxycontin. Oh, but then you must be in terrible, intractable pain to get these. Hmmm. Replicating Jackass stunts might work (or throwing yourself against brick walls like Eight is Enough's Adam Rich did). Or perhaps becoming an All-Pro Quarterback and having a really shitty Offensive Line might work. <P>
Perhaps we can all go out sometime and drink REAL Absinthe. Alcohol and Wormwood. What a combo! Both your vices can be sated...I know a place in the East Village. <P>
