A pathetic habit I've gotten into...

Every business day I sit outside a building on 54th Street & 6th Ave. on my lunch hour for the purpose of checking out the ladies.

Lately I've been consciously trying to make eye contact with as many girls as possible. When they look back, I think I'm hot shit ; when they don't, I feel like the ultimate pathetic loser.

What's really lame is that I'm not just randomly sitting down for a few minutes to rest. It's all premeditated.

BUT SERIOUSLY FOLKS...

It's not really about meeting someone (though I wouldn't mind). It's just a stupid ego-driven experiment, as in "does she think I'm worth noticing?"

The irony is that sometimes the more attractive girls are more likely to look back - they're more confident. You can tell that they're used to the attention, so they like to tease. It's basically just a fashion show ; it's all a game.

By the same token, it might make more sense to just go to lunch with one of these female specimens.
