The Sox have come in to the Bronx and embarassed the Yankees so far this weekend. If they take another game tomorrow the way they won the first two then they deserve to be in the postseason. However, it's the Red Sox and I think a collapse is right around the corner.

I sware to god, if bosotn breaks the curse, im killing every single yankee, WE NEED FUCKING PITCHING. ANYTHING. The Yankees bullpen is about as productive as trying to write an essay with a pen thats stuck in my rectum, in other words, NOT AT ALL.

The Yankees need to figure out a way to keep all those Red Sox fans out of the Stadium. I was there today, and it seemed like at least 50% Boston fans. I've been to tons of Yankees-Red Sox games but I've never seen anything like it ; it was ridiculous.

This is my suggestion: don't sell those tickets anywhere but the Stadium box office ; don't make them available by phone or internet.

If you're a real Yankees fan, you can make the trip to the Stadium to get tickets.

Fortunately the Yankees have Wells on the mound tomorrow, so...oh, wait a minute, I forgot - Wells sucks. Well, at least we have the bullpen...oh wait, I forgot, the bullpen sucks. Well, thank God we've got Jason Giambi...oh, I forgot, he sucks.

It's gonna be a long day.

Im glad someone elses feel the pain, the yankees really need to get a bullpen, REAL FAST, i dont care if you have to trade giambi to do it, if roger does infact retire, than the yankees are basically fucked for next year unless they make some good deciisons. Tading El Duque was the worst idea ever, and getting rid of jason alexander wasnt smart either. GOOD JOB JOE.

Yea, well you know what sucks? Being in Lancaster, PA and not being able to watch the game tomorrow because it's not on national TV (unless i'm wrong, but i don't think it is). I can't even watch the Pats tomorrow.

Well, since you cant watch it RE-ENACT IT.

1.Buy some cardboard cut outs of the yankees
2.buy an assault rifle
3.pretend your a red sox player
4.fire into the cardboard cutouts

There ya go, you have yourself the massacre in ust 4 easy steps, its probably less painful as well.

To get off the Sox-Yanks wave here...

-My best bet goes to the pointy fish from Florida, not sure if the Phils can hold on much longer.

-The ChiSox will take the AL Central, damn sure about it.

-And one more thing, is it illegal for the A's to have more than a 2 game lead on the Mariners?!?!? I mean, we lose a game...they lose a game. We win 3 straight...they gotta win 3 straight. Let's finally get past the Division Series for once!! There was no excuse for losing last year to the damn Twins.

Perhaps you lack the discipline necessary for you to live.

The Phils - Fish series' coming in the next three weeks will be the tell tale I believe. We (Phillies) have done shit to improve ourelves to prep for the off season and if we make it to the playoffs, fine. If not, well, we bit ourself in the ass. Some unexcusable errors tonight were pretty disgusting but we still won. 5 straight, 7 of the last 10 I think? We go on rolls and then tank for 5 or so. We have no closer. Our MVP (Polanco) has been out all week with leg problems. Burrell has been in the toilet all year. Abreu and Rollins are good but only for their own personal gains and could give a damn about the "team" effort. I hope they are gone by next year. You can shitcan Millwood too becasue he is very VERY far from being the ace of the pitching staff. 2nd or 3rd at best. We have been very inconsistent all year and I don't think we really deserve the playoff but it should be a fun ride. Even if we do make the playoffs, the Giants will kill us in three.

Thats just how it is. Being a Philadelpia fan kind of makes you expect failure on a yearly basis and you know, I am fine with it. Just makes the winning seasons all that much better when they happen. You kind of learn to appreciate it more as opposed to having winning seasons every year. I would get bored after a while.

The Red Sox however have been showing me something and I couldn't be happier although I don't get to watch many games. I loathe the Yankees and relish in their defeat. Time to give some other teams a chance. Blah blah best franchise ever. I could seriously give a shit less.

I am really hoping for a Red Sox - Phillies World Series because they played each other pretty evenly all year long. Doubt it will happen though. It will probably be Braves - A's which should make for a good series as well.

Bullpen? more like Mariano, which bothers me, because once again, Torre proves he has no faith whatsoever in any other relievers, and if the relievers know Torre thinks they suck, then they will also think they suck. It's not good to go into late september with an entire bullpen (-1) with self-confidence issues.

Also, Wells needs to stop "giving up" when someone makes an error, because he pitched so friggin' well until Jeter screwed up that throw to first.

Maybe some good signs from Bernie and Matsui, but For the love of god, Giambi, swallow your pride and bunt once in a while, because you have nothing more to lose, you're not hitting, and the third base line is always deserted. There's always the chance the pitcher will hurt himself going for the ball. ;)

Yea i knew Giambi was in a slump, BUT JESUS, 1/40 at bats, awful, i knew he was overrated from the start. He bet start hittin shit or (I hope) they'll trade him for some GOOD PITCHERS. Thank god we got alfonso, bernie, jorge, and hideki, most of them hit pretty well.

First of all, I'm glad Wells proved me wrong today. He was brilliant. And Mariano got the job done as well, so he also proved me wrong.

As for Giambi, what can I say? Does this guy have Lou Gehrig's disease? Think about it - Gehrig was in a shorter slump when he took himself out of the lineup in 1939, and that was at the beginning of the season (not during a pennant race).

I can sooo picture an all Chi-Town World Series which I would actually enjoy.

But I really think Boston would finally breakthrough this year. Could you imagine a Cubs-Red Sox for the old schoolers? Or maybe an All Sox World Series, The Red vs. The White!

Not to burst a bubble but the Red AND White Sox are both AL.

Maybe if all the NL Teams self eliminate each other. It would be cool to see an all SOX ALCS though.

I am still hoping for the Red Sox/Phillies World Series. Although the Phils will probably tank first round. There goes me self-doubting Philly attitude now.

You Yankees fans who are complaining about your bullpen: YOU'RE STILL IN FIRST PLACE. Sure, it may not be dominant as it was in years past but if you want to talk about shitty pitching staffs and weak bullpens I ask you: how have the Sox fared since 1986? See my point?

I'd be glad to see my Sox take the AL East but right now I'm more concerned about the 1 1/2 game lead over Seattle for the Wild Card.

So maybe this is just the "Nega"-delphia fan in me but I declare the Phillies dead for the wild card. 2 1/2 out as of tonight and we let the Pirates beat us?!? Our fielding SUCKS! Florida has won 7 straight. Then again, 6 out of the last 12 are against Florida. Maybe we can gain some ground?

Nah.

Doubt it.

At least the Red Sox look safe.

The Yankees take a 5.5 game lead in the East and the Mariners can shorten the Wild Card to .5 of a game!
